  • Patent number: 6557940
Abstract: A chair assists rising movement so that seating and rising can be comfortably performed with safety and comfort. The chair assisting rising movement is separated into a reclining block, a mount base block, and an intermediate base block. A backrest and the intermediate base block are pivotally supported by a first link while the mount base block and the intermediate base block are pivotally supported through a second link and a third link, provided in front and rear. The first link is rotated for moving the backrest from a stationary position to a rearward inclined condition. The second link and the third link are respectively rotated to raise the intermediate base block and a seat surface of the reclining block from stationary positions to specified heights.

  • Patent number: 5836645
Abstract: In a lounger-type massage machine, a back support is reclinable relative to a seat. There is provided a leg rest which is movable between a retracted position where the leg rest is retracted to be held below the seat and a projected position where the leg rest is extended outwardly in front of the seat. A sheet is extended to cover the seat and the leg rest. There is provided a looseness prevention mechanism which pulls an end of the sheet inwardly so as to prevent the loosening of the sheet in both the retracted position and the projected position of the leg rest.

  • Patent number: 5813727
Abstract: A massaging chair is capable of assuring comfortable use, both in the sitting and lying positions. The massaging chair comprises a seat, a reclining backrest pivotally connected about a pivot axis to the seat so as to be movable between an upright position and a horizontal position with respect to the seat, and a massager is disposed on the side of the reclining backrest to give a massage to a back of a user resting on said seat. A pair of armrests are disposed on the opposite sides of said seat. The armrests are designed to extend arcuately substantially about the pivot axis of the backrest. With this arrangement, the user's arms on the armrests can be kept at a fixed comfortable angular relationship with respect to his or her body, irrespective of the varying angles of the reclining backrest on which the user rests with varying posture.

  • Patent number: 4633159
Abstract: A charging circuit comprises a bypassing transistor connected at the collector and base respectively to the base and emitter of a switching transistor connected to the primary winding of a transformer for inducing a charging current in the secondary winding of the transformer forming a part of a secondary battery charging path, and a current detecting resistance and constant voltage element connected between the base and emitter of the bypassing transistor so that, when the peak of a collector current of the switching transistor exceeds a predetermined level, the bypassing transistor is conducted to bypass and reduce the base current of the switching transistor, the collector current of the switching transistor is thereby reduced, and the charging current substantially constant at the average value is generated regardless of the voltage of a selective one of different power sources.
