  • Patent number: 6837948
Abstract: A process of production of a compressor shoe superior in durability and reduced in manufacturing cost, wherein a process of quenching the shoe is performed in a vacuum, inert gas, or modified gas so as to prevent oxidation of the chrome and manganese of the surface of the material or the quenching process is performed after forming an antioxidation film on the surface of the material to prevent the oxidation of the chrome and manganese.

  • Publication number: 20030209137
Abstract: A shoe in a swash plate type compressor has a spherical engaging surface that engages with a piston, and a plane engaging surface that is substantially a plane and engages with a swash plate. The plane engaging surface includes a substantially planar sliding surface, a substantially radially extending peripheral surface and a connecting surface. The sliding surface is formed near a center of the plane engaging surface and slides over the swash plate. The peripheral surface is formed near a periphery of the plane engaging surface, is formed at a distance from the sliding surface away from the surface of the swash plate so as to form an inwardly-directed step in the plane engaging surface, and is connected to the spherical engaging surface at its outer periphery. The connecting surface connects the sliding surface to the peripheral surface.

  • Publication number: 20030088979
Abstract: A method of producing an aluminum ball, comprising the steps of: a cutting step of cutting a bar-shaped blank formed of a material containing aluminum as a major component, into cut pieces; an aluminum-ball forming step of forming each of the cut pieces into the aluminum ball by semi-closed die forging, said aluminum ball having a flash formed on an outer circumferential surface thereof; and a flash removing step of removing the flash from the aluminum ball formed by forging. Also disclosed is a method of producing a shoe for a compressor, from the aluminum ball.
