  • Publication number: 20130286612
Abstract: In mounting a relatively large circuit component such as an electrolytic capacitor and a film capacitor on a circuit board, the present invention decreases a protruding height of the component beyond the board, preventing abnormal noise caused by making contact the component with the board. The circuit board has an opening or a notch in which the body of a circuit component to be mounted on the board is disposed, and a protrusion that protrudes from one or more sides of the opening or the notch. The component is disposed on the board in a manner that the body of the component is inserted through the opening or the notch and that the body has no contact with the board except for the protrusion. With the condition maintained, the protrusion and the body of the component are bonded together by fixing material for fixing the component to the board.

  • Patent number: 7131478
Abstract: An apparatus for supplying a component carrier in the form of a tape is provided. The component carrier has a number of cavities formed on one surface thereof for containing components. A pair of spaced first and second guide plates that function to guide one surface of the component carrier. A movable guide plate is disposed between the first and second guide plates so that it can move back and forth between a first position adjacent to the first guide plate for defining a component pickup station and a second position adjacent to the second guide plate. The movable guide plate has an extension which extends along at least one longitudinal edge of the component carrier and opposes the one surface of the component carrier for preventing movement thereof when the movable guide plate takes the first position.

  • Patent number: 6910514
Abstract: An apparatus 101 for supplying a component carrier in the form of a tape is provided. The component carrier 102 has a number of cavities 116 formed on one surface thereof for containing components 115. A pair of spaced first and second guide plates 106 and 107 guide one surface of the component carrier. A movable guide plate 109 is disposed between the first and second guide plates so that it can move back and forth between a first position adjacent to the first guide plate for defining a component pickup station 111 and a second position adjacent to said second guide plate. The movable guide plate has an extension 112 which extends along at least one longitudinal edge of the component carrier and opposes to said one surface of said component carrier for preventing movement thereof when the movable guide plate takes the first position.

  • Patent number: 6119336
Abstract: This invention provides an electronic component sucking method in which the movement of a component supply table (15) can be increased without increasing tact time, thereby improving the mounting efficiency of electronic components (2, 4). According to this invention, the movement disabled period of the component supply table (15) is set on the basis of the height of an electronic component (2, 4) in order that the interlock time for a low electronic component (4) can be set to be shorter and the movement enabled period of the component supply table (15) can be set to be longer. Therefore, a low electronic component (4) can have a shorter tact time, thereby improving the overall mounting efficiency of electronic components.

  • Patent number: 6118240
Abstract: A board transfer unit for transferring a printed circuit board on which electronic components are mounted. The board transfer unit has sensors for detecting the length, width, and thickness of the board. The board weight is calculated based on the detected data from the sensors. The board transfer unit also receives information on types of components mounted on the board from a machine in the previous process. Optimal acceleration and deceleration rates are selected from previously prepared data based on the board weight and the types of components mounted in the previous process. Accordingly, the board transfer unit realizes the optimal board transfer corresponding to diversifying board weight and mounting conditions.
