  • Patent number: 9121105
Abstract: A method for the cathodic electrocoating of a tin-coated steel sheet in a treatment solution that does not contain any Cr compound, F or nitrite nitrogen. A tin oxide layer that is not subjected to a cathodic electrocoating treatment yet and is arranged on a tin-coated steel sheet is thinned to a specified thickness or less by a cathodic electrocoating treatment in an aqueous solution containing sodium carbonate or sodium hydrogen carbonate or an aqueous sulfuric acid solution immersion treatment, and the tin oxide layer is subjected to a cathodic electrocoating treatment in an aqueous solution of an alkaline metal sulfate containing a zirconium compound having a specified composition. In this manner, a coating film is formed on the tin oxide layer at a specific adhered amount in terms of Zr content.

  • Publication number: 20100181416
Abstract: An airframe (1a) having a main body (4) and a tail body, a main rotor (6) disposed above the main body (4) and driven by an engine inside the airframe (1a), and a tail rotor disposed in a rear part of the tail body (5) are provided. A pair of support legs (8, 8) at left and right sides extending downward from left and right sides in a lower part of the main body (4) and a pair of skids (9) on left and right sides provided on the lower ends of the support legs (8) and positioned out of the main body (4) in the width direction of the airframe (1a) in a front view are provided. A radiator (71) at a position more frontward than the front ends of the skids (9) in a side view, formed extendedly downward from the vicinity of a bottom surface (83) of the front part of the main body, and having wind reception surfaces oriented to the longitudinal direction of the airframe is provided.

  • Patent number: 6073717
Abstract: Several embodiments of electric power-assisted manually powered vehicles such as bicycles. In these embodiments, the drive unit and control are mounted as a unit so as to minimize external wiring and to facilitate heat transfer from the control unit to the atmosphere while protecting the control unit. In some embodiments, sensors for the control unit are also mounted on the outer housing and cooperate with the internal components of the outer housing so as to provide the necessary signals for control.

  • Patent number: 5258155
Abstract: Provided is an injection-molding method for forming into given finished parts by injection-molding raw materials of a metal or ceramic powder feed, in which steps of coating a release agent to the mold, degreasing and freeze solidification are dispensed with. In this method, a metal or ceramic powder feed is kneaded with an agar sol comprising water, which may have or have not been treated magnetically, agar powders having a gel strength of 2000 g/cm.sup.2 at an least 2% concentration and sodium borate to form a clay form of sol-state plastic material, and this material is then put in a heat-retaining hopper of injection-molding equipment in which it is injection-molded. Alternatively, this clay form of plastic material is cooled for gelation and pelletization (to obtain finely granulated gels). The pellets are put in a hopper of injection-molding equipment in which it is formed while heated and melted.

  • Patent number: 5177369
Abstract: Engine-driven equipment includes a stopped-engine detector and a mechanism for safely shutting down the engine, including battery operated auxiliary devices, after detection that the engine has stopped. The engine may be shut down simply by closing a gas cock in the fuel line, but whatever the cause of engine stoppage, auxiliary devices are permitted to run for a predetermined time after stoppage to, for example, cool the engine or maintain warm glow plugs for easier restarting. If the gas cock is used to stop the engine, the engine will continue to run until fuel remaining in the fuel line has been expended, and then safely and automatically shut-down.

  • Patent number: 5162662
Abstract: A compact portable power supply including an internal combustion engine that drives a generator and which engine is fueled by a pressurized source of gaseous fuel. The outer housing and control structure is configured in such a way that the source of gaseous fuel will always be oriented so that liquid fuel will not be delivered to the engine when the power supply is in use.
