  • Patent number: 6776347
Abstract: A sheet-framed IC carrier has a sheet frame having an aperature, and a backing film with a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on one surface thereof which is adhered to the back surface of the sheet frame. An IC carrier having an IC module is secured in the aperature of the sheet frame with the adhesive layer on the backing film. When the IC carrier is removed from the sheet-framed IC carrier, no excessive load is exerted on the IC module and no projection remains on the peripheral edge of the carrier base.

  • Publication number: 20040036560
Abstract: A coaxial tube elbow has an external electric conductor tube (10) housing an internal electric conductor (20) inside and bend sections (12, 21D) formed by bending the external electric conductor tube and the internal electric conductor at a predetermined angle. The vertical section of the external electric conductor tube (10) is an arc shape at the bend section (12). The vertical section of the bend section (21D) of the internal electric conductor (20) is preferably of a partially notched arc shape. In the manufacturing of the external electric conductor tube (10), low melting point metal is filled into the external electric conductor tube of a straight shape and then the tube is bent in a metal mold. After the bending, low melting point metal is melt and removed by heating, whereby a bent external electric conductor tube (10) can be obtained. Thus the coaxial tube elbow with fewer parts allowing assembly without the use of brazing can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 4677680
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and device for inspecting defects of the image on a print in the form of a web which is transported in its longitudinal direction. Data each representative of the density of each picture element of a reference print are stored in a memory in accordance with predetermined addresses. Thereafter, data each representative of the density of each picture element of a sample print are derived and compared in density one picture element by one picture element with the reference data read out from the memory, whereby whether or not the sample print has any defect is determined. In this case, because of a web transport system or because of printing sheet itself, data are deviated with respect to each other so that this deviation must be corrected or compensated for. The present invention provides a method and device for inspecting the printing image while correcting or compensating for the deviation between the two data.

  • Patent number: 4561103
Abstract: This invention relates to a technique for inspecting picture patterns on prints which are being run in a rotary press or the like, and more particularly to a method in which reference data read out of a reference print is written in a memory, and inspection data read out of a print under inspection is compared with the reference data for every picture element for instance to determine whether or not the print is acceptable, and an apparatus for practicing the method. The specific feature of the invention resides in that (1) in reading the above-described data a print running speed or the position of a picture pattern in the direction of width is detected to rewrite the reference data, (2) in data comparison, the comparison level is optionally set up, and (3) the data comparison is carried out not only for every picture element, but also for the sum of picture elements over the entire picture pattern and for the sum of picture elements arranged linearly in the print running direction.

  • Patent number: 4418163
Abstract: A water absorbing composite comprises an inorganic powder, and a highly absorbent resin covering the whole surfaces of the individual particles of the inorganic powder. The resin is obtained by reacting with a basic substance a polymer containing as a monomeric constituent an .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated compound having in its molecule one or two carboxyl groups, or one or two other groups convertible to a carboxyl group or groups, and by crosslinking the reaction product with a polyamine. The composite is useful as a water retaining agent for agriculture and horticulture, or as a dehydrating agent for oil.

  • Patent number: 4382999
Abstract: The invention provides a novel water-swellable caulking material which is a composite body of stratified structure composed of at least one rubbery layer swellable in water comprising highly water absorbing resin dispersed in the matrix of a rubber and at least one rubbery layer not swellable in water integrally bonded together, which latter serves to resist the expansion of the former layer when swollen in water in the directions other than the direction perpendicular to the plane of the layers. The inventive caulking material can exhibit unexpectedly excellent water sealing effect with easiness in handling in addition to the rapidity in water absorption by virtue of the structure thereof preventing the expansion of the material in the directions of length and width without decreasing the expansion in the direction of thickness.
