  • Patent number: 5570605
Abstract: A bearing support frame (4) is disposed within a rear end portion of a tractor front housing (1) and is fixedly supported by this housing which has an internal partition wall (1a) and an open rear end. A transmission casing (2) having an open front end is fastened to the rear of the front housing and includes a primary speed change mechanism (14) which is disposed between a drive shaft (12) and change shaft (13). These shafts are supported at their front end portions by the support frame and extend forwardly of this frame. An additional speed change mechanism (9) is disposed within a rear half of the front housing and comprises a primary shaft (7), rotatable output member (10) and countershaft (11). The output member is fixedly mounted on a front end portion of the drive shaft, and a rear end portion of the countershaft is journaled by a front end portion of the change shaft.

  • Patent number: 5462148
Abstract: In a vehicle multi-ratio transmission comprising a plurality of change-speed gear trains, including a backward directional gear train, with which synchronizer clutches are associated for actuating same, two multidisc-type synchronizer clutches (12) are employed for actuating one of forward directional gear trains, which is operated under a heavy condition, and for actuating the backward directional gear train. Cone-type synchronizer clutches (11) are employed for actuating the other gear trains. Seizing of clutch members as well as an unexpected start of the vehicle at a neutral condition of the transmission are well prevented and increase of cost for securing these advantages is suppressed.

  • Patent number: 5269195
Abstract: In a vehicle park lock mechanism having a rotatable lock arm (5) for locking a gear (3) which is fixedly mounted on a transmission shaft (2), a pawl device integral with the lock arm is comprised of first and second locking pawls (6F, 6R) which are operable to engage the gear so as to prevent forward and backward directional rotations of the gear. The first and second pawls are arranged such that they may project into one and another toothe spaces (3b) of the gear which are spaced circumferentially of the gear with at least one tooth space therebetween. Gear having a relatively large pressure angle such as a transmission gear may satisfactorily be used as the gear for the lock mechanism.
