  • Patent number: 7483843
Abstract: Increasing performance companies whose business performance increases are selected among a number of companies and a growth ratio of the skill holding amount (an upskilling ratio) in each skill field is calculated. An average of the upskilling ratios of the increasing performance companies is found for each skill field. The average is used as a standard upskilling ratio. An upskilling ratio of a client company that requests an analysis in each skill field is compared with the standard upskilling ratio. This makes it clear that the skill field being important for the client company but insufficient in the skill holding amount. Then a plan to supplement the shortage can be drafted.

  • Patent number: 7333769
Abstract: A client machine receives Web data including a learning material part from a learning server in an e-Learning center to display it as an Web page. The Web page includes a circle graph that represents the intelligibility of all learners who studied the learning material and a pair of bar graphs that represent the ratio of the achievers in the finishers who could not understand the learning material. A learner can make use of the status information represented by the graphs to his or her learning. After attending the learning material part, a learner clicks an “Understood” button or a “Not Understood” button to inform one's intelligibility to the learning server.

  • Patent number: 7171155
Abstract: A learner clicks “Understood” button when he or she could understand a learning material or clicks “Not Understood” button when he or she could not understand. When the “Not Understood” button is clicked, the learning server machine transmits an explanation choice information to display a Web page including a knowledge tree that shows a structure of the learning material. The Web page contains headings of explanations and choosing ratios as end-nodes of the knowledge tree. The explanation describes the learning material in detail. The choosing ratio is a ratio of each of the explanations chosen by learners who attended the same lecture using the same learning material.

  • Patent number: 6932612
Abstract: Learning materials each of which consists of learning material units are stored in a learning material DB. Keywords corresponding to the respective learning materials are stored in the learning material evaluating table. A keyword-unit table defines which learning material units include the respective keywords. A learner clicks an Understood button when the learner understand the current unit. After the learner finishes to attend the current learning material, the keywords corresponding to the units in which the Understood button was clicked are specified based on the keyword-unit table. A learning material whose keywords are in the best agreement with the keywords specified is selected as a learning material to improve ability of the learner in the strong field based on the learning material evaluating table. In the same manner, a learning material to supplement the weak field is selected based on a history of clicks of a Not Understood button.

  • Patent number: 6801752
Abstract: When a client computer informs that a learner cannot understand the current learning material unit, a server computer specifies keywords linked with the current learning material unit that is attended by the learner as a first keyword set and specifies keywords linked with one of the learning material units that are already attended by the learner as a second keyword set. The server computer extracts keywords that are common between the first and second keyword sets as a selectable keyword set and transmits a list of keywords within the selectable keyword set to the client computer. When the client computer informs the keyword chosen by the learner, the server computer specifies the learning material unit that corresponds to the keyword chosen by the learner based on the keyword information and resends the specified learning material unit to the client computer.

  • Publication number: 20040191745
Abstract: A learning program whereby the degree of improvement in transaction work as a result of transaction learning can be confirmed. A work amount storage section receives an amount of transaction work which an employee has performed using a terminal, and stores the work amount in a work amount storage database (DB). In response to a request for transaction learning from the employee, a transaction learning display section displays a learning screen for the transaction learning on the terminal. A learning information storage section receives start and end times of the employee's transaction learning from the terminal, and stores the received times in a learning information storage DB.

  • Publication number: 20040193507
Abstract: A business transaction program that enables a user to easily learn learning content he/she wants to. A transaction screen display section in a computer displays a transaction screen for conducting transaction on a terminal unit used by a user for conducting and learning the transaction in response to a request from the terminal unit. When a learning request for the transaction is made from the terminal unit, a content display section obtains learning content corresponding to the transaction on the transaction screen displayed on the terminal unit from a learning content database and displays it on the terminal unit. When a search by a keyword is performed from the terminal unit, learning content which matches the keyword may not reside in the learning content database. In this case, a content search section searches a server for such learning content via a network. The server stores various types of learning content to be provided to companies.

  • Patent number: 6769917
Abstract: In an education system using a network, a method for automatically detecting a defective part in an education material and for indicating the defective part is provided. A defective information storing means for storing a defect point correlation with a portion of an education material is provided. When the system receives a question from a student's terminal PC, a defect point of a corresponding portion of an educational material, in the defective information storing means, is updated, based on the received question. By this update, whenever a question is sent from a student's terminal, a defect point stored correlation to a portion of an educational material is accumulated. It is judged whether the defect point reaches a predetermined threshold value, and the corresponding portion of the educational material is transmitted to a terminal of a system administrator, based on the result of the judgement.

  • Patent number: 6755662
Abstract: In a method for presenting questions by a host computer receiving questions from users, a question most suitable to an user can be presented. In an education system wherein plurality of students' personal computers PC are connected to an education center through a network, at the time of the FAQ search from a student, a plurality of FAQ questions are presented in the order appropriate to the student, by matching the FAQ level and FAQ keywords to the student's level and the keywords learned by the student. The student can easily select a question compatible with his/her own question, from the presented questions.

  • Publication number: 20030177049
Abstract: A server machine obtains information about skills actually held by workers in a company from a client machine of the company. The server machine analyzes surplus and deficiency of person in each skill field based on the obtained information. Further, the server machine finds the condition to solve the surplus and deficiency of person based on the analyzed result. Specifically, skill matching information, which shows an organization-to-organization personnel transfer and learning courses that should be attended by the workers, is created. The skill matching information is transmitted to the client machine and displayed on a screen to inform a person in charge in the company.
