Patent number: 9340130Abstract: Links are provided, each between one of the side frames of the seat cushion and the support member, and can be swung. A band extends at a substantially center part of the seat cushion and between the side frames, and is provided beneath the seat pad. One end of the band is secured to the top of one side frame, and the other end (free end) hangs over the top of the other side frame. The free end of the band further extends via the direction changing member provided on the side frame, first passing by a first relay point, i.e., the axle of the link provided on the side frame, and then passing by a second relay point, i.e., the axle of the link provided on the support member. At an emergency, the traction device pulls and stretches the band.Type: GrantFiled: May 20, 2014Date of Patent: May 17, 2016Assignee: TACHI-S CO., LTD.Inventors: Koji Tanaka, Hiroshi Nozu, Hiromasa Tanji, Atsushi Ichida, Hideo Tobata, Atsushi Koike

Publication number: 20150021967Abstract: A buckle pre-tensioner on a chassis support member, at the left side frame, one of two side frames 14-1 (left and right side frames) holding the seat pad of a seat cushion, respectively. A band 18 extends below the seat pad, extending between the left and right side frames. The band is fastened at one end to the right side frame, and at the other end 18b (free end) to the right side frame. The other end 18b is pulled at an emergency. A direction changing member 14-1a is provided on the left side frame. Via the direction changing member 14-1a, the free end 18b of the band extends along the left frame to the pre-tensioner and is connected the pre-tensioner. At an emergency, the pre-tensioner pulls both the seat belt 16 and the free end 18b of the band.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 18, 2014Publication date: January 22, 2015Inventors: Koji TANAKA, Hiroshi NOZU, Hiromasa TANJI, Atsushi ICHIDA, Hideo TOBATA, Atsushi KOIKE

Patent number: 8474862Abstract: A motor vehicle seat arrangement for a motor vehicle. The seat arrangement comprising a vehicle seat, at least one inflatable element, means for inflating the inflatable element which inflate the inflatable element depending on a control signal. The vehicle seat arrangement is arranged in the vehicle and the inflatable element is designed and arranged in or on a side wall of a backrest of the vehicle seat in a way that it exerts a momentum on the upper part of the body of the vehicle occupant while it is inflated in answer to the control signal, so that the whole vehicle occupant is moved away from a collision section of the vehicle that collides or is going to collide with the object or that the thorax region of the upper part of the body of the vehicle occupant performs a tilting movement away from the collision section of the vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 2009Date of Patent: July 2, 2013Assignee: Takata AGInventors: Oliver Pursche, Hans-Peter Sendelbach, Martin Breuninger, Hiroshi Nozu, Werner Geiselhart, Edwin Miller, Thomas Sievers

Patent number: 7775552Abstract: An occupant restraint device for a vehicle, including a side cheek protruding from a backrest of a vehicle seat. A supporting structure of the vehicle has an outer side facing an exterior space of the vehicle and an inner side facing away from the exterior space of the vehicle and facing the outer side of the side cheek. An airbag arranged in the vehicle seat is supported on the inner side of the supporting structure and exerts an opposing force on the outer side of the side cheek when the airbag is inflated, the force being directed onto the outer side of the side cheek. A pre-crash detection device for identifying an imminent application of force on the outer side of the supporting structure from the exterior space, the pre-crash detection device activating an expansion of the side cheek in an expansion direction along the supporting structure.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 2008Date of Patent: August 17, 2010Assignee: Takata - Petri AGInventors: Martin Breuninger, Josef Klima, Hiroshi Nozu

Publication number: 20090094807Abstract: A seatbelt buckle apparatus for attaching a tongue of a seatbelt includes a buckle projection mechanism having a buckle therein, to which the tongue of the seatbelt is to be inserted, a seating detection portion, and a load transmission-driving device. The buckle projection mechanism locates the buckle inside a seat when an occupant is not seated, and to stand up from the seat when the occupant is seated. The seating detection portion is housed in the seat at a seating position of the occupant and detects a load of the occupant. The seating detection portion has a supporting member. The load transmission-driving device transmits a displacement amount of the supporting member, generated in the seating detection portion when the occupant is seated, to the buckle projection mechanism, and drives the buckle projection mechanism so that the tongue can be inserted into the buckle when the occupant is seated.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 10, 2008Publication date: April 16, 2009Applicant: TAKATA CORPORATIONInventors: Shinichi Sugimoto, Koji Tanaka, Hiroshi Nozu
