  • Patent number: 9271391
Abstract: A multilayer wiring board includes a first dielectric layer, a high-frequency signal line formed on a first surface of the first dielectric layer, a ground layer formed on a second surface of the first dielectric layer, and a second dielectric layer covering part of the ground layer. The high-frequency signal line is electrically connectable to a center conductor of a coaxial structure. The second dielectric layer is spaced from an edge of the first dielectric layer to which the coaxial structure is to be connected, so that a ground exposure portion of the ground layer is exposed on the edge of the first dielectric layer. The ground layer is electrically connectable directly to an outer conductor of the coaxial structure at the ground exposure portion.

  • Patent number: 5874378
Abstract: A sintered aluminum nitride contains rare earth elements (RE) in amounts of from 3 to 10% by weight in terms of RE.sub.2 O.sub.3, alkaline earth elements (R) in amounts of from 0.3 to 3.0% by weight in terms of RO, and silicon atoms in an amount of from 0.3 to 1.0% by weight in terms of SiO.sub.2, the grain boundaries of AlN crystals being chiefly a YAG type crystalline phase. The sintered product is obtained by firing at a temperature as low as 1700.degree. C. or lower, has a thermal conductivity of not smaller than 60 W/m.cndot.K, loses weight in an amount of not more than 10 mg/cm.sup.2 when it is left to stand in a 4N NaOH aqueous solution maintained at 70.degree. C. for one hour, and exhibits excellent resistance against the alkalis.

  • Patent number: 5729412
Abstract: A slider being made of ferrite and a core formed with a magnetic metal film on its gap confronting surface are connected together by means of bonding glass so as to sandwich a non-magnetic film therebetween as a magnetic gap. The magnetic metal film is made of a magnetic metal material such as Fe-Ni, Fe-Al-Si and the like, and is constructed through the thin-film fabrication technology such as sputtering. A recessed portion is provided on the magnetic metal film in such a manner that the recessed portion is retracted from a medium confronting surface of the magnetic head by a depth t. Thus, no color change is caused on the magnetic metal material and, therefore, no deterioration in various characteristics of the magnetic head is expected.

  • Patent number: 5481422
Abstract: A magnetic head comprising first and second core halves made of an oxide magnetic material and arranged to be abutted against each other to have a winding channel and to define at least one magnetic gap therebetween and joined by a bonding glass. On each of the surfaces of the first and second core halves which respectively face said magnetic gap, there is provided a metallic magnetic film made of a metallic magnetic material including nitrogen. Further, a protective film is provided on each of the metallic magnetic films. The protective film is made of a nitride material such as CrN, VN, Si3N4, BN, TaN, AlN, TiN and ZrN. The protective films prevent the nitrogen of the metallic magnetic films from discharging into the bonding glass.

  • Patent number: 5410487
Abstract: A counting section includes: a first gyro pulse counter which counts gyro pulses from each of X-, Y-, Z- and S-axis gyroscopes during each counting period after being reset immediately before the start of the counting period and outputs the count value as a first gyro pulse count value at fixed time intervals; and a second gyro pulse counter which is reset at said fixed time intervals, counts the gyro pulses and outputs the count value as a second gyro pulse count value.
