  • Patent number: 4490706
Abstract: An electronic part comprising an electronic element provided with connector electrodes at both ends, a pair of terminals connected to said both electrodes and extended downwardly therefrom, and a covering of molded insulating resin encasing said electronic element with the exception of the outer end portions of said terminals, said outer end portions being bent to fit the bottom of said covering and then folded vertically upward in contact with the both ends of said covering.

  • Patent number: 4488904
Abstract: A mixture gas containing metallic vapor with oxidizing gas produced by reducing of the oxide of the metal at high temperature is led, at a high enough temperature and a low enough pressure for the reverse oxidization reaction between them to not substantially take place, into a convergent-divergent nozzle, and squirts out from the nozzle, as cooled down rapidly by adiabatic expansion in the nozzle to a low enough temperature for the oxidization reaction between them to not substantially take place, to be led to the surface of a pool of molten retrieving metal, either directly or via deceleration. The retrieving pool metal may be the same kind as the metallic vapor to be retrieved, or may be different. When the metallic vapor to be retrieved is magnesium vapor, the retrieving metal of the different kind may be lead, bismuth, tin, antimony, or a mixture thereof.

  • Patent number: 4484943
Abstract: A method of making a fine powder of a metal and another element in an intimate mutual relation such as an alloy or a chemical compound of a metal and a non metallic element, wherein a gaseous mixture of the metal and the other element is passed through a convergent-divergent nozzle and is thereby rapidly cooled by adiabatic expansion so that the metal and the other element react with each other while the resulting alloy or chemical compound is solidified to form fine particles.

  • Patent number: 4437886
Abstract: A process for manufacture of metallic magnesium. A mixture of a first quantity of magnesium oxide, a second quantity of a carbide forming material which is either a material selected from the group of materials consisting of calcium, aluminum, boron, silicon, calcium oxide, aluminum oxide, boron oxide, and silicon oxide, or is a mixture of two or more of these materials, and whose weight is 10% or less than the weight of the first quantity, and a third quantity of carbon which is at least the equivalent mol weight of that of the magnesium oxide plus the carbide forming material, is heated within a reducing furnace at a pressure between about 5 and 200 torr and at a temperature of at least 1600.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 4327854
Abstract: An apparatus for guiding web-like materials is provided with a hollow suction box having a surface for making a contact with a continuously running web-like material. A plurality of bores are formed in the surface of the suction box within a region corresponding to the maximum sheet width at a suitable pitch. Each of the bores have a smaller diameter at its inner side than at its outer side. A sucking mechanism of adjustable pressure is provided in communication with the cavity of the hollow suction box. A damper is disposed at the duct of the sucking mechanism and is used for adjusting the pressure in suction box.

  • Patent number: 4314221
Abstract: An inductance device comprises a drum core on which a coil is wound and which has a projection; a rectangular pot core having each concave part on the upper surface and the lower surface and having a hollow for fitting said drum core and a hole for fitting said projection of said drum core; electrode parts which are respectively formed on each side surface and said concave part of the upper surface of said pot core and on the bottom surface of said pot core; said drum core having said coil being fitted into said hollow of said pot core; and said coil being connected to said electrode parts at said concave part by each of lead terminals of said coil; and said drum core being sealed in said hollow.
