  • Patent number: 5472817
Abstract: The present invention provide a carrier for development of electrostatic latent images, comprising magnetic powder dispersed in binder resin, the carrier having a mean particle size in a range of 30 to 80 .mu.m and satisfying the following relational expression:(x).sup.2 /.phi..sup.2 .gtoreq.9.0wherein x represents mean particle size of the carrier and .phi..sup.2 represents variance of particle size distribution. The carrier of the present invention is superior in chargeability and fluidity and free from occurrence of carrier adhesion even when used in combination with small particle size toner and which can form excellent copy images.

  • Patent number: 5178930
Abstract: A thermal transfer recording medium comprising a support and a heat-fusible ink layer, coated on the support, which comprises a colorant and a binder. The binder comprises a polyurethane having bisphenol units or a polyether having bisphenol units and an hydroxyl group at the terminals. The thermal transfer recording medium provides a transferred image with a high quality regardless of the transferring paper.

  • Patent number: 4850533
Abstract: The present invention relates to a telescopic drinking straw or double sucking tube in which a synthetic resin tube section having a smaller diameter is inserted into a synthetic resin tube section having a larger diameter. In the sucking tube, a flange which is in tight contact with the inner surface of the larger tube section is formed on the smaller tube section, while a convex portion supporting the smaller tube section is formed on the inside of the larger tube section. Both the larger and smaller tube sections are produced from materials having different compositions from one another, so that leakage of fluid from a joint portion of the larger and smaller tube sections as well as shaky motion of the smaller tube section are prevented by these arrangements.

  • Patent number: 3936170
Abstract: A product comprising a soft elastic base material and an electroconductive film formed on the base material by applying a coating composition to the base material and fixing the composition by an insolubilizing treatment such as irradiation with light, heating or the like, the composition comprising an aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol, a fine powder of electroconductive material dispersed therein and an insolubilizing agent for insolubilizing the polyvinyl alcohol by the insolubilizing treatment. The composition may contain a softener to impart softness to the electroconductive film. The soft elastic base material is made of a spongy foamed material and fixed to the peripheral surface of a base roller.
