  • Patent number: 5447175
Abstract: A fuel delivery device is reduced in size by reducing the size of a float, and has reliability in operating its valve means and favorable response of the valve means, and general applicability to various vehicle types. As for a manufacturing method of the device, ultrasonic welding with resin which is the most preferable method considering the material and the cost is employed so that the designed valve opening/closing reliability and response can be easily achieved. For realizing such a device, this invention provides a multi-stage valve assembly in which a plurality of valves are provided, the uppermost valve is connected to a float, and slide members which have stoppers provided on the distal ends thereof and are provided on one of the valves which make a pair, are inserted in guide members provided on the other valve in such a manner that the stoppers can be engaged with the guide members.

  • Patent number: 5313978
Abstract: An object of the invention is to improve a ventilation line opening/closing means of a fuel tank which interrupts a ventilation line from the fuel tank to a canister during fuel supply so as to restrict the fuel level when the tank is full, and which opens the ventilation line during traveling of a vehicle. This invention provides a ventilation line opening/closing means of a fuel tank, comprising a float valve provided in a ventilation line for introducing gas of the fuel tank into a canister so as to control ventilation, wherein a fuel receiving portion of return fuel including escape holes is integrally formed on a lower portion of a vent shut-off valve, so that the vent shut-off valve is opened by return fuel from the engine during operation of the engine, and that the vent shut-off valve is closed by the force of a spring during a stop of the engine.

  • Patent number: 5060466
Abstract: A composite rope obtained by process comprising, impregnating a multifilament with epoxy resin and half-setting the resin to form a prepreg, twisting the plural prepregs together to form a primarily-twisted product, and wrapping the primarily-twisted product with a yarn or a porous tape. When it is wound round the primarily-twisted product, the yarn is closely wound at an angle substantially perpendicular to an axis of the primarily-twisted product. The method further comprises twisting the plural primarily-twisted products thus wrapped to form a secondarily-twisted product and then heating the secondarily-twisted product to completely set the resin impregnated.
