  • Patent number: 8584560
Abstract: A main spindle device has a main spindle (1) having a hollow hole, and a chuck unit (10) for grasping a work (W). A pipe unit (71) is inserted into the hollow hole of the main spindle (1) and receives insertion of the work (W) to thereby prevent the work (W) from vibrating when rotated together with the rotation of the main spindle. A support unit (72) supports the pipe unit (71) at one end of the main spindle (1) such that the axial line of the pipe unit (71) coincides with the axial line of the main spindle (1) and such that one end of the pipe unit (71) projects from the one end of the main spindle (1) to be positioned inside the chuck unit (10).

  • Patent number: 8244396
Abstract: The turning machine according to the present invention includes a displacement sensor (200) which measures a distance between an immobile reference point and a position of variable point which reflects the positional displacement of the tool, the immobile reference point being able to determine a relative positional correlation relating to a variable position of tools with the progress of machining of the workpiece (W) by the tool (421). In drawings the reference point is set up in the guide bush (90). And based on the measured result by the displacement sensor, the tool is moved so that the center height of the tool and the center line of the workpiece satisfy relatively the predetermined positional correlation. Accordingly, the center height deviation amount due to heat deformation and the like is corrected.

  • Patent number: 7793054
Abstract: The present invention discloses a technique for updating information with respect to a DVD player, for example. When information to be updated such as a password for a parental lock or type of language is to be modified, the information to be updated is written into a free space within an area of the flash memory. Further, when the control delay becomes unnoticeable, information last written in the area of the flash memory is read out to be written into a temporary storage while the area of the flash memory is cleared. Then, the updated information in the temporary storage is written into the cleared area of the flash memory.

  • Patent number: 7657150
Abstract: An optical disk apparatus is configured to switch the audio signals to be output to the sound output terminal by means of the slide switch having contact points that activate in association with the state switched by a mechanical manipulation. When the state of the slide switch is switched to the state where the externally-input audio signal is output to the sound output terminal from the state where the audio signal is output to the sound output terminal, a video signal of a composite video on which the OSD image, indicating that the output is switched to the external signal from the internal signal, is kept output to the video output terminal until a time period has passed.

  • Patent number: 7328357
Abstract: In a configuration in which supply of a first operating power source to a main circuit part is stopped at the time of shifting to a standby mode, at the time of shifting to the standby mode, a voltage of a second operating power source is lowered to a voltage which is lower than a voltage in an operating mode and is close to a lower limit of a voltage allowable range of an operating power source of a microcomputer.

  • Publication number: 20060280073
Abstract: When an apparatus is in a stop state after a reproducing operation or a recording operation with respect to an optical disc is over, the stop state is detected by stop-state detecting means, which then makes the optical disc rotate at a low speed. A predetermined time after the detection of the stop state, an automatic power-off function makes the optical disc stop rotating and turns power off. With this configuration, even in a stop state after a reproducing operation or a recording operation with respect to the optical disc, the rotation of the optical disc permits air inside the apparatus to circulate to cool down the inside of the apparatus, so that heat generating components are air-cooled. This helps reduce the temperature rise in the stop state and thereby eliminates adverse effects on the operating life and the recording/reproducing precision of the optical disc apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6336961
Abstract: A plurality of discharge electrodes are grouped for respective gas passages that are defined by collecting electrodes (11-15). The discharge electrodes in each group are connected to a common power supply unit for receiving output voltage through a diode provided for each group and are connected to a spark electrode (21). The spark electrode is positioned such that it sparks between a hammer (20) in a passageway of the hammer upon striking. Each group of the discharge electrodes has a ground unit to be grounded just before the collecting electrodes on both sides thereof are struck.

  • Patent number: 4648887
Abstract: There is disclosed a method for controlling an electrostatic precipitator which includes discharging electrodes and collecting electrodes and which is supplied with a rectified secondary high voltage from a high voltage generating apparatus connected to an AC source. The rectified secondary voltage is applied to the electrostatic precipitator by alternating an on-load period of a fixed time length corresponding to one or two cycles of the AC source and an off-load period of variable time length. In such an application of voltage, a voltage application compulsory pause period corresponding to at least 10 cycles of the AC source is provided at a suitable interval, and as a reference voltage for back ionization detection, there is detected the bottom value of the secondary voltage in the first on-load period just after each compulsory pause period.
