  • Publication number: 20140152668
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes the following elements. A first receiver receives a first QFD chart having axes, items formed in a hierarchical structure being appended to each axis. A second receiver receives a second QFD chart different from the first QFD chart. An integrating unit integrates the first and second QFD charts into a third QFD chart. Concerning axes of the first and second QFD charts having the same axis name, if part of an item name in a highest hierarchical level of items on the axis of the first QFD chart coincides with that of the second QFD chart and if remaining parts do not coincide with each other, the integrating unit sets the consistent parts as an item name in a highest level of the third QFD chart and sets the inconsistent parts as item names in a second highest level of the third QFD chart.

  • Publication number: 20140156655
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes the following elements. A selector selects, as a first item, an item disposed within a QFD chart. A first calculator calculates a correlation score between the first item and an item associated with an adjacent axis. A first extracting unit compares the correlation score with a predetermined value and extracts a second item related to the first item. A second calculator calculates a correlation score between the second item and an item associated with an adjacent axis and determines the calculated correlation score between the item associated with the adjacent axis and the first item. A second extracting unit compares the correlation score with a predetermined value and extracts a third item related to the first item. A display unit displays the first item, the second item, and the third item in a mode different from a mode of the other items.

  • Patent number: 7181688
Abstract: The retrieval condition acquisition unit receives a logical operation expression of the keywords as a retrieval condition from a user. The matching document retrieval unit acquires a list of the document IDs corresponding to the keywords inputted, from the word index of the document information storage unit, and applies a specified logical operation to the result to acquire the matching document IDs. The related keyword calculation unit acquires the keywords extracted from the matching documents retrieved by the matching document retrieval unit as the related keywords, and calculates the degrees of relatedness of each of the matching documents. The related part extraction unit accumulates the degrees of relatedness of the related keywords as to each of the matching documents, and extracts the sentences with the appearance orders in the text kept, in the order of the sentence having a higher accumulated value, until the total length of the sentences extracted becomes longer than a predetermined length.

  • Patent number: 6470334
Abstract: The present invention provides a document retrieval apparatus that performs full text retrieval search on the documents by using an index of relatively smaller capacity for not only Indo-European documents but also Japanese documents in which the breakpoints of words are not clearly articulated. Every word contained in documents with the redundancy eliminated is stored in an index along with the information concerning the adjacent words adjoining to the words in the documents. When retrieving, based on the retrieval search criteria containing plural words and the sequential order thereof, word search parts determine whether plural words stored in the index matches the retrieval search criteria to identify if a document matches the criteria. Also the sequence of words may be restored from the index to output the appropriate full text of document.

  • Patent number: 6321189
Abstract: The cross-lingual retrieval system of the present invention retrieves second language sentences which are appropriate translations of a query written in a first language using pair data without being greatly influenced by the difference in expression between the query and sentences to be the object of retrieval, length of the query or sentences to be the object of retrieval or the like. In the system, a pair data storing unit stores multiple pairs each having a first language sentence and a second language sentence having the same meaning. As a query receiving unit receives a query written in the first language, a first retrieving unit retrieves first language sentences similar to the query from a set of first language sentences stored in the pair data storing unit.

  • Patent number: 6297447
Abstract: A ground connection bracket for securing coaxial cables to a grounding surface of, for example, a motor vehicle, includes first and second clamping members connected along a common edge by an integral hinge. Each of the clamping members is composed of a generally flat, rectangular panel and has two parallel side walls extending therefrom along edges perpendicular to the hinge edge. At least one contact projects from the panel of each clamping member, and generally semi-circular notches are formed in the side walls of the clamp members adjacent the contacts. A hole passes through the panel of one of the clamp members to receive a bolt for fastening the bracket to a grounding surface. One or more coaxial cables to be grounded are inserted between the clamping members so as to extend through the notches. A short length of insulation on each cable is stripped to expose the shield where the cables pass through the bracket.

  • Patent number: 6178106
Abstract: A power distribution center (PDC), such as those used in automotive vehicle electrical systems, has device for pivotally connecting a power supply terminal with the PDC such that pivoting movement of the terminal relative to a PDC housing inserts the terminal through an aperture formed in the housing and into contact with a bus bar retained within the housing. The pivoting connection between the terminal and the PDC allows the terminal to be securely connected with the bus bar without the need for any tools, and provides a degree of alignment to guide the terminal into the aperture. It also provides leverage so that a worker can easily generate sufficient force to insert the terminal into connection with the bus bar in the presence of a force resisting insertion, such as may be generated by a spring clamp or other device for urging the terminal into contact with the bus bar.

  • Patent number: 6076086
Abstract: The present invention provides an associate document retrieving apparatus capable of associate document retrieval which reflects the relation among keywords connected by logical operators in a retrieval expression. In the apparatus, a document information storing element associates each of the documents with a keyword extracted from the document and stores the associated documents. A retrieval expression obtaining element receives a retrieval expression containing retrieval keywords that may be connected by logical operators. A number of documents calculating element specifies objective keywords from within the extracted keywords stored in the document information storing element and calculates several numbers of different kinds of documents.

  • Patent number: 6045412
Abstract: A power distribution center for an automotive vehicle electrical system comprises a junction block having a plurality of receptacles formed on an upper surface thereof to receive electrical components such as fuses and relays, and a holder insertable into engagement with the junction block to retain electrical terminals properly positioned within the junction block to make contact with the electrical components. A rectangular gap is formed in a side wall of the junction block. Passages extend from a recessed surface within the gap into the junction block. The terminal holder has arms which are inserted into the passages to engage the terminals and inhibit downward movement thereof, and an end plate which fits into the gap. The terminal holder end plate is configured to fit into the gap such that the outer surface of the end plate substantially matches the contours of the side wall and effectively seals off the openings of the passages in the gap.
