  • Patent number: 8776962
Abstract: An electromagnetic suspension system uses a linear motor having coils disposed around the outer periphery of a stator and permanent magnets disposed along the inner periphery of a mover. Wiring is routed through a gap between a first rod and a second rod. Thus, contact between the wiring and the second rod is avoided, and the wiring is protected. Consequently, it is possible to ensure reliability for the electric system of the electromagnetic suspension system.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 26, 2012
Date of Patent: July 15, 2014
    Assignee: Hitachi Automotive Systems, Ltd.

  • Patent number: 8173004
Abstract: A pulse current from a pulse current supply side is fed to a middle part of an anode holding body to which anodes are connected; both end portions of a cathode holding body, to which cathodes are connected, are connected to a negative pole on the pulse power source side; and inductances of wiring between adjacent anodes and inductances of wiring between adjacent cathodes are set at a ratio of 1:2:3:4 in a direction of spacing from a connection to the pulse power source side. Pulse currents are equally fed to each work and it can be ensured that chromium plating treatment of each work is made equal.

  • Patent number: 7219781
Abstract: An electromagnetic suspension system comprises a universal joint mechanism for permitting radial movement of a cylinder relative to a center yoke while preventing axial movement of the cylinder relative to the center yoke. Since the cylinder is capable of radial movement relative to the center yoke, if a lateral force acts on the cylinder, the lateral force acting on a hydraulic damper does not have any significant effect on the center yoke 17 with respect to radial movement or rocking movement thereof. Therefore, excessive sliding friction does not occur in a center-yoke dry metal and a piston-rod dry metal, thereby ensuring smooth axial relative displacement between the center yoke and an outer yoke.

  • Patent number: 5766919
Abstract: A method for replication of hepatitis C virus genome comprising infecting animal cells that have been infected with mouse retrovirus, with hepatitis C virus, and then culturing those cells. The present invention further provides a method for distinguishing a hepatitis C virus with high infectivity and a hepatitis C virus with less infectivity, comprising centrifugating a sample comprising a virus to be tested in a liquid medium to determine the density of the virus, and assigning the virus to a hepatitis C virus with high infectivity it the density thereof is up to about 1.06 g/ml, and assigning the virus to a hepatitis C virus with less infectivity if the density thereof is at least 1.

  • Patent number: 4924710
Abstract: A vortex flowmeter comprising ultrasonic wave transmitters and ultrasonic wave receivers adapted to receive ultrasonic waves transmitted by the transmitters through a flow of fluid in which vortices are generated by a vortex generator, the ultrasonic wave signals output by the ultrasonic wave receivers being compared by a phase comparator to measure the flow rate of the fluid by detecting the difference in phase of the ultrasonic waves due to generation of the vortices.
