  • Patent number: 4508414
Abstract: A shielded cable-connector assembly for interface use comprises a multicore cable (1), a connector (2) and a shielding member made of a metallic mesh (5). The respective cores (11) of the multicore cable are connected to resepective contact elements (21) of the connector and the metallic mesh is disposed to cover the connecting portion of the cores and the contact elements while the same is electrically connected to a metallic contact cover (22) of the connector and a shielding member (12) of the multicore cable, whereby a shielding effect at the connecting portion of the cores and the contact elements is enhanced. A connector cover (24) is provided to cover the whole metallic mesh.

  • Patent number: 4096313
Abstract: The herein-disclosed electrical insulating paper is well-suited to the insulation of extra-and ultra-high-voltage oil-filled electric power cable, and comprises at least one layer (A) which is a mixture of polypropylene fibers and kraft pulp and at least one layer (B) of accumulated polypropylene fibers laminated to the layer (A) by fiber-to-fiber bonding of the polypropylene fibers. The electrical insulating paper is prepared by superposing at least one layer of a mixed paper of polypropylene fibers and kraft pulp and at least one layer of polypropylene web, and heating the superposed layers at a temperature of 110.degree. to 180.degree. C to thermally laminate the layers each other.

  • Patent number: 4030884
Abstract: A yarn in the form of a supply package in which the yarn is wound on a bobbin is continuously washed with an aqueous washing liquid by standing the yarn supply package upright in means for receiving the yarn package and an aqueous washing liquid, and continuously drawing off the yarn upward from the package while bringing the aqueous washing liquid into contact with the outer surface of the package. The contact of the outer surface of the package with the washing liquid is effected by immersing the package in the washing liquid bath or by flowing the washing liquid down over the outer surface of the package.

  • Patent number: 3957573
Abstract: Polyolefin fibers containing at least 70% by weight of polypropylene fibers having a denier of at least 0.5 and a birefringence of at least 2.5 .times. 10.sup.-.sup.2 are formed into a sheet. The sheet is then frictionally calendered in the dry state at a frictional ratio of at least 15% and at a temperature in the range from 90.degree.C to 160.degree.C whereby an insulating paper having excellent air-impermeability and oil-resistance is obtained.
