  • Publication number: 20080077316
Abstract: A traffic state predicting apparatus, which predicts congestion states of parts of a link based on limited information (the travel time for the link), comprises storage means that stores link data including a link length of each link forming part of a road on a map and parameters including, for each link, a smooth traffic speed indicting being smooth, a congested traffic speed indicating being congested, and a congestion reference position which is a reference position for a congested section; means that acquires a predicted travel time for the link; and congestion degree classified section calculating means that obtains sections classified according to their level of congestion in the link with use of the predicted travel time and the parameters.

  • Publication number: 20070236411
Abstract: An indicating lamp control program adapted for a computer to perform processing for controlling an illuminating operation of indicating lamps disposed around a display surface of a display apparatus, includes as functions for the computer: window information acquiring means for acquiring information representing a back-to-forth position and a size of a window generated, with running of an application program; program determining means for determining whether or not the application program is a content display program adapted for the display apparatus to display the contents; and control means for providing control based on both of the information acquired by the window information acquiring means and a determination result obtained by the program determining means so as to turn down the indicating lamps less than a predetermined level when the window corresponding to the content display program is in a topmost position and has a predetermined size or more.

  • Publication number: 20070150211
Abstract: An information processing apparatus is disclosed. The information processing apparatus includes a hard disk drive, an acceleration sensor, a determination section, and a threshold value setup section. The hard disk drive is capable of retracting a head to a data-free landing zone. The acceleration sensor detects acceleration. The determination section obtains high frequency components from acceleration information detected by the acceleration sensor, obtains a vibration level corresponding to the obtained high frequency components, compares the vibration level with a threshold value which has been set up, and determines whether or not there is a necessity to retract the head of the hard disk drive to the data-free landing zone. The threshold value setup section allows a user to change the threshold value and set up the changed threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20070145954
Abstract: A battery management system which can output a battery state enabling optimum charge and discharge control to be performed even when a temperature variation occurs among individual single cells. A plurality of temperature sensors measure temperature values of a battery. A measurement unit measures a voltage and a current of the battery. A maximum/minimum temperature selection unit in a calculation unit determines a maximum temperature and a minimum temperature from the temperature values measured by the temperature sensors. An available power calculation unit calculates respective values of maximum available charge and discharge powers or maximum available charge and discharge currents of the battery corresponding to the maximum temperature and the minimum temperature based on the voltage and the current of the battery.

  • Publication number: 20060208693
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to provide a battery controller which is able to secure the number of rewrite time as required without replacement. The battery controller including a plurality of memory groups 104a to 104n comprising nonvolatile memories rewritable on the basis of one unit or plural units, a switch for selecting a memory group and a reader/writer 102 for writing or reading data into or from the memory groups, wherein the switch selects sequentially a memory group, according to a signal for writing from outside.

  • Publication number: 20060202857
Abstract: A status detector for a power supply, a power supply, and an initial characteristic extracting device for use with the power supply, each of which can detect the status of an electricity accumulating unit with high accuracy by sequentially modifying characteristic information necessary for the status detection of the electricity accumulating unit. A measuring unit obtains measured values of at least current, voltage and temperature of the electricity accumulating unit. A processing unit executes status detection of the electricity accumulating unit by using the measured values and the characteristic information of the electricity accumulating unit which is stored in a memory unit. A discrepancy detecting unit detects the presence of a discrepancy away from a theoretical value when a result of the status detection obtained by the processing unit is changed over a predetermined threshold or reversed with respect to the measured values obtained by the measuring unit.

  • Patent number: 6278903
Abstract: A robot body (21) is carried into the water chamber (2A) of a condenser (1) and disposed on a tube sheet (4) through which a number of narrow tubes (3) open. Inner nozzles (23) are inserted into narrow tubes (3) from working devices (24) installed on the front ends of four combined-use arms (22A through 22D) to position and fix the robot body (21). And the arm turning motors (25) and arm extending and contracting cylinder devices (26) of the combined-use arms (22A through 22D) are driven to move the robot body (21). Further, a cleaning brush (12) and a flaw detection probe (13) are inserted into a narrow tube (3) from each working device (24) and moved along the narrow tube (3) by cleaning water, whereby cleaning and inspection are performed. With three of the combined-use arms (22A through 22D) fixed to the narrow tubes (3), the inner nozzle (23) is extracted from the narrow tube (3) and the working device is moved to the next narrow tube (3).
