  • Patent number: 6788964
Abstract: There is provided a mobile unit communication apparatus which is to be mounted on a mobile unit to intermittently transmit an information signal of the mobile unit. The apparatus has detecting means for detecting various statuses of the mobile unit and a periphery of the mobile unit, as status data. Further, the apparatus also has transmission frequency controlling means, wherein a transmission frequency of an information signal which is intermittently transmitted is changed in accordance with the status data. Hence, in each of the mobile units, the load of processing information obtained from received radio waves can be reduced. Further, the driver can efficiently obtain adequate status information, so that the driving load on the driver can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 6647268
Abstract: The object of the invention is to provide a mobile unit communication apparatus that can also efficiently acquire required information from another mobile unit in a place where multiple mobile units gather. To achieve the object, an identification code corresponding to a traveling azimuth of a mobile unit where a mobile unit communication apparatus is mounted is added to an information signal to be transmitted and the information signal is transmitted, an incoming information signal transmitted from another mobile unit is received and the information signal from another mobile unit is processed according to a traveling azimuth shown by an identification code added to the received information signal from another mobile unit.

  • Patent number: 6285923
Abstract: A profile of a designated road by which a vehicle is guided to a destination is predicted by road map data. In the case where it is difficult for the own vehicle to pass through a curve of the designated road ahead of the own vehicle, a warning is given to a driver or vehicle speed is automatically reduced. Whether or not the car is correctly running on the designated road is decided by deviation &Dgr;&thgr; (=&thgr;V−&thgr;M) between azimuth angle &thgr;V of the actual advancing direction of the own vehicle and azimuth angle &thgr;M of the designated road. When it is decided that there is a possibility that the own vehicle is running off the designated road, the warning is given or automatic speed reduction is stopped or suppressed. Due to the foregoing, it is possible to prevent the own vehicle from being improperly controlled and it becomes possible for a driver from feeling a sense of incongruity.

  • Patent number: 6252520
Abstract: The object of the invention is to provide a mobile unit communication apparatus that can give required information of one other mobile unit to another other mobile unit which a radio signal from the one other mobile unit does not directly reach. To achieve the object, an incoming information signal is received, it is judged based upon an information signal incoming when the approach of another plural mobile units near a mobile unit is detected based upon the incoming information signal that an error occurs in communication between another plural mobile units and an information signal to be transmitted between another plural mobile units is relayed when an error in communication between another plural mobile units is detected.

  • Patent number: 5270960
Abstract: An angular velocity sensor wherein an internal temperature of the sensor body is sensed by a temperature sensor and adjusted to be equal to a preset value; an offset value is obtained from an output of the angular velocity sensor at the preset internal temperature with no angular velocity acting thereon and an angular velocity signal at the preset internal temperature is compensated for by the obtained offset value; and also an angular velocity detection signal obtained before the internal temperature reaches the preset value is compensated for by an offset value determined on the base of a value readout from a memory table storing therein characteristic offset values varying with the internal temperature of the sensor body.
