Abstract: To make it easier to draw a thin line with a sharp tapered brush member, a brush-holding structure of a liquid cosmetic applicator has a tubular applicator body in which a cotton pad or liquid cosmetic is contained, and a nosepiece having a permeable brush-hold member securely inserted therein and fitted in a tip portion of the applicator body, wherein a through hole is formed in a center position of the brush-hold member and extending in a lengthwise direction, a brush member formed of a bundle of filamentous fibers is securely inserted and fitted in the through hole, and a tip portion of the brush member protrudes from a tip of the brush-hold member.

Abstract: Disclosed is a side-push type of container appropriate for use for instance, in a cosmetic applicator, permitting application of a cosmetic liquid material such as varnish to selected parts of a human body such as nails without using both hands for holding the separate parts of the cosmetic applicator, simply by using a forefinger of the hand holding the applicator to feed a predetermined amount of cosmetic liquid material to the applicator tip. It comprises a hollow container body having a depressible push button on its side, an application member partly inserted into the hollow container to expose the remaining part therefrom, and a valve mechanism responsive to depression of the depressible push button for feeding the application member with a fixed amount of liquid material.

Abstract: A liquid applicator structure which has an application tip fixed to front end of a cylindrical body and a liquid supply assembly built in its rear end. The liquid supply assembly includes a rotatable rod composed of a cylindrical shank-and-operating end and a solid rod having male threads thereon. The rotatable rod is held with an anti-rotation member having a cantilever-like extension. A split slide member having two split extensions is engaged with the rotatable rod at its rear end. One of these split extensions is inserted within the cantilever-like extension of the anti-rotation member and the rotatable rod, thereby preventing the split slide member from rotating. A piston member abuts on the split slide member. Rotation of the rotatable rod causes the split slide member and the piston to advance and drive liquid toward the application tip.

Abstract: Disclosed is an improved eyeliner applicator having a quantity of eyeliner-soaked material packed into the hollow space of its cap, whereby its felt tip is inserted into the eyeliner-soaked material when its cap is placed on its shank, thereby maintaining its tip wet with the eyeliner liquid. This arrangement permits automatic removal of dust from the tip surface every time the tip is inserted into the eyeliner-soaked material, thus maintaining the tip surface free of dust to assure a smooth supply of the eyeliner to the tip surface.
