  • Patent number: 9740195
Abstract: To further optimize an operation of a power plant. The system has a storage cell which charges utilizing surplus electric power generated by a power plant 10 and a database 23 which accumulates at least information on power consumption for each power plant apparatus 11 (hereinafter, described as an in-plant apparatus). An integrated controller 225 compares power consumption of the power plant apparatus 11 in operation in the case of executing each function among a plurality of functions and an electric discharge capacity of the storage cell, and selects an executable function within a range of the electric discharge capacity of the storage cell. Then, it controls to execute the selected function utilizing electric power supplied from the storage cell.

  • Patent number: 7934373
Abstract: In a control device for an internal combustion engine (E) of a vehicle comprising a particulate filter (42) installed in an exhaust passage of the engine and a loading device (63) that applies a load to the engine, the control device (9) is configured to execute a regeneration process for regenerating the particulate filter under a prescribed condition. When a vehicle is in a congested state, the temperature of the particulate filter typically drops below a threshold level for enabling a regenerating process. However, according to the present invention, the particulate filter may be regenerated even when the vehicle is in a congested state if a loading device such as an air conditioner is activated, and the temperature of the particulate filter is therefore high enough. Thereby, the particulate filter may be actively regenerated whenever possible.

Abstract: [PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED]To reduce the bending amount caused by Coulomb force of electrodes and obtain uniformity of surface processing in a plasma processing apparatus for a workpiece having a large area. [SOLUTION MEANS] An electrode structure 30X of a plasma processing apparatus comprises a pair of electrode rows 31X, 32X extending leftward and rightward and opposite to each other in back and forth directions. Each electrode row includes a plurality of electrode members 31A through 32C bilaterally arranged in a side-by-side relation. The electrode members of the two electrode rows, which are bilaterally arranged in substantially same positions, have opposite polarities and form row-to-row partial gaps 33p therebetween. The electrode members arranged adjacent to each other are opposite in polarity with respect to each other.

  • Patent number: 5474267
Abstract: A method and device for effecting a fast but smooth deceleration or stopping of trains controlled under the automatic train control (ATC) system. Under ATC, a permitted maximum velocity is provided as an "ATC condition" to activate the brake system of the train if that velocity is exceeded. When it is necessary to alter the velocity of a train, a control center specifies a feeder section to have the ATC condition to be altered. Next, a substation corresponding to the specified feeder section is provided with notice about the alteration of the ATC condition. The notice includes the impending reduction of velocity. In response, the substation decelerates the train without using the ATC brake system provided on the train. When the train has been sufficiently slowed down such that the alteration of the ATC condition will not result in activation of the ATC brake system, the alteration of the ATC condition is then effected.
