Publication number: 20050072212Abstract: When the ignition switch of a vehicle is turned OFF, a purging process for increasing the flow of an off-gas fluidizing in each of the outlet side pipings of a fuel cell and discharging water remaining in a fuel cell system to an outside is started to be executed, and the amount of current conductance to the heater of the gas sensor is increased synchronously with the start of the execution of the purging process. With the completion of the purging process, the fluidization of the off-gas in each of the outlet side pipings stops, and the amount of current conductance to each of the units of the gas sensor (for example, an electrifying voltage) is gradually decreased depending on a predetermined current conductance reducing amount which is preset, thereby stopping the current conductance to each of the units and the amount of current conductance to the heater is gradually decreased, thereby stopping the current conductance to the heater.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 10, 2004Publication date: April 7, 2005Applicant: HONDA MOTOR CO., LTD.Inventors: Hidetoshi Oishi, Hirotoshi Inoue, Takashi Sasaki, Takashi Saito

Patent number: 6507596Abstract: The amount of pre-ionization by the pre-ionization electrode provided on the gas outflow side of the main discharge space, out of at least one pair of pre-ionization electrodes, is adjusted so as to attain the desired beam profile. As a result, the pre-ionization intensity of the laser gas remaining on the gas outflow side of the main discharge space is made lower than the pre-ionization intensity of the laser gas flowing into the main discharge space. In other words, the intensity of the laser light on the gas outflow side of the main discharge space is made weaker than the intensity of the laser light in the center of the main discharge space. Accordingly, the location of the maximum light intensity of the beam profile does not deviate from the center of the discharge width.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 2000Date of Patent: January 14, 2003Assignee: Komatsu Ltd.Inventors: Tsukasa Hori, Takanobu Ishihara, Hirotoshi Inoue, Takashi Matsunaga

Patent number: 6377595Abstract: A peaking capacitor layout in which a discharge energy is not lowered even when peaking capacitors are decreased in their capacitance, increased in their number and disposed in a plurality of rows. The discharge energy is uniformly distributed to obtain a stable laser power. A peaking capacitor group in a first row formed of a plurality of peaking capacitors and a peaking capacitor group in a second row formed of a plurality of peaking capacitors are disposed in a plurality of rows (two rows) in a direction in which a length of a loop changes. The capacitance of the peaking capacitors forming the second row having a long loop is adjusted to be smaller than that of the peaking capacitors forming the first row having a short loop. And, the capacitance of the peaking capacitors in the first and second rows are adjusted so that the distribution of the capacitance of the peaking capacitors becomes uniform along the longitudinal direction of the discharge electrodes.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 2000Date of Patent: April 23, 2002Assignee: Komatsu Ltd.Inventors: Hirotoshi Inoue, Yasufumi Kawasuji, Tetsutarou Takano, Takashi Matsunaga

Patent number: 6336689Abstract: A brake fluid pressure retaining unit for a vehicle comprises a solenoid valve SV arranged in a brake fluid passage FP between a master cylinder MC and a wheel cylinder WC so as to shut off or communicate the brake fluid passage FP. In the case that a transmission of the vehicle is shifted to a driving position, the solenoid valve SV is switched to a shut-off position when the vehicle stops with a brake pedal BP depressed. The solenoid valve SV is switched to a communicating position when driving force is exerted on the vehicle. Brake fluid pressure is retained within the wheel cylinder WC when the solenoid valve SV is in the shut-off position. The brake fluid pressure within the wheel cylinder is retained after releasing the brake pedal so that braking force continues to act on the vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 2000Date of Patent: January 8, 2002Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Takahiro Eguchi, Hirotoshi Inoue, Toshiya Kanda, Masakazu Shiraishi, Shouji Suzuki, Yoichi Sugimoto

Patent number: 6095942Abstract: In a continuously variable transmission, a speed change control device includes a vehicle speed sensor, a brake sensor, a release vehicle speed memory which, when the brake is operated, renews and stores the brake release vehicle speed, and a gradient sensor for detecting a running road gradient. When, in an engine brake running state, the present vehicle speed is higher than the brake release vehicle speed stored in the release vehicle speed memory, a speed change target value is obtained according to the difference between the present vehicle speed and the brake release vehicle speed and to the road gradient. And, when, in the same state, the present vehicle speed is lower than the brake release vehicle speed, the speed change target value is obtained according to the road gradient. The speed change control is carried out so as to obtain the speed change target value.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 1999Date of Patent: August 1, 2000Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Masaaki Yamaguchi, Eiji Kitsutaka, Daihei Teshima, Hirotoshi Inoue
