Abstract: A drug filling machine has a plurality of feeders containing a plurality of different kinds of drugs. A plurality of drugs are discharged from one or some or the feeders into a vial. A sealing unit is provided for sealing the mouth of the vial with a transparent sheet. The sealing unit includes a sheet presser for pushing the transparent sheet into the mouth of the vial to form a sealing sheet having a tray-shaped section, a cutter for cutting the transparent sheet into a predetermined shape, and a heater for fusing the transparent sheet to the top end of the vial to seal the mouth of the vial.

Abstract: A plurality of cartridges are each provided with a transponder which is operative, in response to an external command signal, to receive and store medicament information including name and quantity of a medicament and to externally transmit the stored medicament information. A discharge quantity of medicament to be discharged from the cartridge is measured, while a current stock quantity of medicament stored in the transponder is read. Then, the discharge quantity of medicament is subtracted from the current stock quantity of medicament, and the balance is written as new stock quantity of medicament into the transponder.

Abstract: In a drug packaging device which can shorten the drug packaging time. The opening of a bag is sealed with a transverse sealing unit and a longitudinal sealing unit. The time when the sealing is started and the sealing speed are varied according to the type of drug to be packaged in the bag. For drugs that take a longer time to be fed into the bag and settle in the bag, the seal starting time is delayed and the sealing speed is slowed. As a whole, it is possible to shorten the packaging time, while eliminating the possibility of incomplete packaging.

Abstract: A plastic ampule dispenser for dispensing plastic ampules supplied in the form of strips of ampules connected together. The plastic ampule dispenser has an inclined guide plate for sliding a plurality of strips of plastic ampules, each strip being formed with cutlines between the adjacent plastic ampules, a plastic ampule stopper for stopping the plastic ampule at one end of the strip when the strip slides on and along the guide plate, and a separating device for separating the plastic ampule stopped at the head of the strip from the adjacent plastic ampule along the cutline therebetween.

Abstract: A printing apparatus for medicine bags includes storage means having stored print data responsive to differences among individual drugs and patients. Reading means reads corresponding print data from the storage means based on prescription data. Printing means prints the print data read by the reading means on a medicine bag or the like in a specified format.

Abstract: A drug packaging machine which can provide patients with information of any drug which cannot be packaged in a drug bag if prescribed drugs include such a drug. If prescribed drugs include a drug which cannot be packaged in a drug bag, an empty bag is formed at a position corresponding to the order in which this particular drug is to be taken, and the data for taking this particular drug is printed on the empty bag. A patient can thus take all of his or her necessary drugs simply by following the order in which the drug bags are series-connected.

Abstract: An ampule dispenser having a carrier for transporting plastic ampules arranged side by side and series-connected together in a strip in a longitudinal direction, a guide plate provided over a delivery end of the carrier for holding down the strip of series-connected plastic ampules, receiver for receiving the plastic ampule at the head of the strip fed from the delivery end of the carrier, and an ampule separator for separating the ampule at the head of the strip along a separating line provided between adjacent ones of the ampules.
