  • Publication number: 20230341862
Abstract: An autonomous movement device includes a sensor to detect a surrounding object, driven wheels, and a processor. The processor acquires teaching control data, generates route data of a surrounding environment based on a point cloud detected by the sensor while controlling the driven wheels in accordance with the acquired teaching control data, and memorizes a movement path along which the autonomous movement device moves in the generated route data.

  • Publication number: 20230266762
Abstract: An autonomous movement device includes driven wheels, a storage, and a processor. The processor: causes taught memorized data to be memorized in the storage; based on the memorized data, controls the driven wheels to cause the autonomous movement device to autonomously travel; at a hold point, the hold point being a point at which autonomous travel of the autonomous movement device is suspended, controls the driven wheels to cause the autonomous movement device to travel in a travel mode other than the autonomous travel; and, when the autonomous movement device reaches near the hold point in a travel mode other than the autonomous travel, causes the suspended autonomous travel to be resumed.

  • Patent number: 10599157
Abstract: A movable object includes a sensing device for detecting traveling-route reflector on a travel surface so that a region outside a floor projection region of the movable object, in particular the traveling-route reflector forward, can be detected. Detecting the traveling-route reflector across a wide range of areas allows traveling control, such as gradual deceleration before entering a curve, speed regulation based on a turning radius at the curve so that centrifugal force on a rider or load is not too great. Also the movable object can detect a branch point or an intersection beforehand, decelerate, and notify the user for user's instruction regarding the traveling direction. Furthermore, for a movable object autonomously traveling with an item mounted thereon, a single sensing device detects the traveling-route reflector and also serves as a safety sensor for avoiding collision with any other objects therearound.

  • Patent number: 9765745
Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to swiftly start up an engine in a range in which electrical equipment having electric power supplied thereto by a battery is not reset, even in cases when the battery is insufficiently charged and the battery is deteriorated. An engine start-up device according to the present invention starts up an engine by transmitting, to the engine, the rotary force of a direct-current motor driven by a battery.

  • Patent number: 8960036
Abstract: A gear coupling device and a gear coupling method reduce a vibration and noise caused at the time of engagement of gears. The gear coupling device transmits power through the engagement of the gears and uncouples the gears from each other by causing at least one of the gears to move in an axial direction of the gear. A determining section determines, on the basis of signals detected by rotation sensors, whether or not an end surface of a tooth of the axially moving gear lies between an end surface of a first tooth of the other gear and an end surface of a second tooth of the other gear. A driving section causes the gear to move in the axial direction on the basis of the determination result of the determining section and causes the gears to be coupled to each other.

  • Patent number: 8688359
Abstract: There is provided an idle stop system that can more quickly restart with small noise in conducting idle stop. In preparation for a restart request during an engine inertial rotation, after a motor is rotated in a state where a starter motor is not coupled to the engine, a pinion is engaged with a ring gear during the motor is subjected to inertial rotation like the engine. In this situation, the rotational speed including future pulsation of the engine is estimated with the use of information on the crank angle, and a pinion pushing timing is controlled so that the pinion and the ring gear contact each other with a given rotational speed difference taking a delay time of a pinion pushing unit into consideration.
