  • Publication number: 20080305681
Abstract: A male terminal fitting (20A) is inserted into a cavity (11) in a housing (10) from the rear, and has a tab (26A) that passes through an open portion (16) of a front wall (14) of the cavity (11). A proximal portion (27A) of the tab (26A) is sandwiched in a thickness direction between an inner surface of the open portion (16) and a front closure (30) mounted on the open portion (16). The thickness of the proximal portion (27A) of the tab (26A) of the terminal fitting (20A) is less than that of a connection portion (28A) of the tab (26A). Therefore the connection portion (28A) of the tab (26A) can have a thickness different from a predetermined thickness, provided that the proximal portion (27A) of the tab (26A) has the predetermined thickness.

  • Patent number: 7445492
Abstract: A lock arm (15) is in the form of a cantilever and hitting portions (25) are arranged at positions closer to the free end of the lock arm (15) than a lock portion (20), a distance from a supporting point of the resilient deformation of the lock arm (15) (leg portion (17)) to the hitting portions (25) can be made longer as compared to a seesaw-shaped lock arm. This means that larger moment forces of the hitting portions (25) can be ensured when the lock arm (15) is resiliently deformed. Therefore, a large hitting sound can be produced when two connector housings (10, 30) are properly connected.

  • Publication number: 20080096414
Abstract: A connector has a male housing (10) with a hood (12) and a female housing (20) that can be telescoped into the hood (12). The female housing (20) has an elastic hold-down piece (38) that elastically contacts the male housing (10) at an angle to a direction in which the housings (10; 20) are telescoped together. An elastic pressing force of the elastic hold-down piece (38) prevents housings (10) and (20) from shaking at an angle to the fit-in direction. The elastic hold-down piece (38) is made of the synthetic resin and has a small elastic deformation amount. Thus, the elastic hold-down piece (38) has a higher effect than an elastic hold-down piece made of rubber in preventing shaking.

  • Publication number: 20080009201
Abstract: A connector has a front retainer (30) that can be held at a partial or full locking position, engaging portions (38) formed on outer surfaces of locking arms (36) are engaged with partial locks (15) or full locks (16). Thus, even if resilient deforming portions (37) of the locking arms (36) are deformed to widen the spacing therebetween due to a thermal shrinkage at the time of resin-molding, areas of engagement of the engaging portions (38) and the partial locks (15) and those of the engaging portions (38) and the full locks (16) are not reduced. Further, engaged parts of the engaging portions (38) and the partial or full locks (15, 16) are in insertion spaces (14), and the front retainer (30) will not be unlocked by interference of external matter.

  • Publication number: 20080009186
Abstract: A male housing (60) includes a receptacle (61) in which male tabs project. A female housing (10) includes a tower (11) with cavities (14) for accommodating terminal fittings. A front holder (13) is mountable on the tower (11) and has a front wall (31). A surrounding wall (32) projects from a peripheral edge of the front wall (31) for covering the outer peripheral surface of the tower (11). A receptacle (61) is fit on the tower (11) with the front holder (13) thereon. Inner projections (43) are provided on the inner peripheral surface of the surrounding wall (32) and project towards the outer peripheral surface of the tower (11) and outer projections (45) are provided on the outer peripheral surface of the surrounding wall (32) and project towards the inner peripheral surface of the receptacle (61).

  • Patent number: 7278989
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for evaluating ablation conditions easily and for ablating a target object accurately. The method includes irradiating a reference object with a laser beam under laser irradiation conditions determined to form a second curved surface shape on the reference object having a first curved surface shape approximate to a curved surface shape of the target object, measuring a third curved shape which has actually been formed by the laser irradiation, and determining a discrepancy between the second and the third curved surface shapes. Then, data about ablation or data for controlling a laser irradiation apparatus are corrected based on results of the determination.

  • Patent number: 7226313
Abstract: A connector has a housing (10) with cavities (13) for receiving terminal fittings (20) and a front retainer (30) that can be mounted on a front surface of the housing (10). A short projection (24) and a long projection (37) are formed at a front end of a guide (18) that receives a stabilizer (21) of the terminal fitting (20). Locking projections (35, 36) are formed on the front retainer (30) and can be locked respectively to the short and long projections (24, 37). Thus, the connector has a simple construction and is compact. The housing (10) also has a lance (22) that can be locked to the terminal fitting (20). The lance (22) constitutes part of an outer surface of the housing (10). Thus, the connector can be even smaller.

  • Patent number: 6994701
Abstract: A corneal surgery apparatus capable of reducing parts where a corneal curvature suddenly varies, and an apparatus for determining a corneal ablation amount. The corneal-ablation-amount determining apparatus includes a data input unit which inputs data on a correction amount of a patient's eye and data on a size of a second ablation zone for connecting a first ablation zone for securing the correction amount with a non-ablation area, a calculation unit which divides the inputted correction amount into at least ten, obtains an ablation amount for each divided correction amount as a lens component is ablated according to a size gradually enlarged from the first ablation zone to an outer diameter of the second ablation zone for each divided correction amount, and determines a total ablation amount by summing each obtained ablation amount, and an output unit which outputs data on the determined ablation amount.
