  • Publication number: 20070138778
Abstract: A vehicle occupant protection apparatus for use in a vehicle includes an occupant-protecting expansion part caused to expand in the form of a curtain in the vehicle cabin along windows. The expansion part is attached to the vehicle body at two attachment points positioned forward and rearward of the windows. A tension line that joins the two attachment points is in a position where the expansion part is extended between the two points, and is positioned below the lower edges of the windows.

  • Publication number: 20070023216
Abstract: A motorcycle with an increased rigidity portion for supporting a storage box. A body frame includes a main frame extending rearward and obliquely downward from a head pipe. Left and right seat rails are connected to the rear portion of the main frame and extend rearward and obliquely upward. Left and right backstays extend between and are connected to the left and right seat rails and the rear end of the main frame. A storage box is disposed such that its bottom is positioned above a connection part of the main frame and the backstays, and the storage box has front and rear attachment parts secured to the seat rails. The front and rear attachment parts are separately disposed, respectively, forward and rearward of a vertical line that passes through the connection part.

  • Publication number: 20070024018
Abstract: A motorcycle that prevents attachment of splashed water to the entire periphery of the front fork. A front fender is separated into a front fender half and a rear fender half. The front fender half has left and right sidewalls (rear end portions), and the rear fender half has left and right sidewalls (front end portions). The front and rear fender half sidewalls enclose the outer periphery of left and right fork bodies. The sidewalls have extended portions extending downward along the left and right fork bodies and lower rear end faces that extend generally linearly from the lower front ends of the extended portions to the upper rear ends thereof obliquely upward.

  • Publication number: 20070025114
Abstract: A motorcycle wherein it is possible to easily identify the state of a headlight and flasher lamps covered with a common outer lens. A a headlight is disposed in a central portion of a light unit in a transverse direction of the motorcycle. A pair of left and right flasher lamps is disposed on left and right sides of the headlight. A common outer lens covers the left and right flasher lamps and the headlight. An upper edge of a light opening in a handlebar cover has left and right interposed parts extending downward to be interposed between the headlight and the left and right flasher lamps.

  • Publication number: 20070025113
Abstract: A vehicle light apparatus has a lamp bulb that is not visible from the outside and a reflecting area that is not conspicuous when the light is on. An inner lens reflects light, from the lamp bulb toward a lens opening and an outer lens attached to the lens opening covers the lamp bulb. A reflecting area having a lower light transmission rate than the outer lens is provided on the tail lens where it opposes the lamp bulb. Light transmission areas having a higher light transmission rate than the reflecting area are provided on the reflecting area.

  • Patent number: 6672639
Abstract: A vehicle rear body structure is disclosed having a flat portion formed on a rear floor panel, a bottom portion of a spare tire resting concave portion lower in height than the flat portion, and a front wall connecting the flat portion and the bottom portion to one another and sloped downwardly rearwardly. A front wall reinforcing member for reinforcing the front wall is mounted along an inclined surface of the front wall. The front wall reinforcing member limits deformation of the front wall by guiding the spare tire along the inclined surface when the spare tire is moved forward. As a result, a distance between the front wall and a fuel tank disposed below the front wall and the flat portion is reduced for thereby enabling the fuel tank to have an increased volume.

  • Patent number: 6293603
Abstract: In a vehicular seat 10A in which a link 15 which is rotatably fixed to a floor 9 is connected to a seat frame 21 at one end thereof for guiding the vehicular seat 10A for movement from an in-use state to a received state and vice versa, a rotation restraining member 17 is provided in such a manner as to extend between the floor 9 and the seat frame 21 for restraining the vehicular seat 10A, which has reached the received state from the in-use state, from further rotating about the link 15 by virtue of the action of inertia.
