  • Patent number: 10083185
Abstract: An apparatus, method, system, and program product are disclosed for data replication. One method includes determining a predicted match ratio. The predicted match ratio may predict a percentage of a current version of a file that matches a prior version of the file. The method may include performing a delta transfer if the predicted match ratio is greater than a predetermined threshold. The delta transfer may transfer a portion of the current version of the file that has changed relative to the prior version of the file. The method may include performing a transfer of the current version of the file if the predicted match ratio is less than the predetermined threshold.

  • Publication number: 20180241022
Abstract: An attachment member attaches a bicycle battery pack to a frame of a bicycle. The attachment member includes a coupling member and a lock. The coupling member restricts movement of the bicycle battery pack relative to the frame while the attachment member is in an attachment state in which the battery pack is attached to the frame. The coupling member extends through a first frame portion of the frame and coupled to a first housing portion of the housing while the attachment member is in the attachment state. The lock is provided on the coupling member and switchable between a restriction state that restricts movement of the coupling member relative to the housing and the frame, and a release state that permits movement of the coupling member relative to the housing and the frame while the attachment member is in the attachment state.

  • Patent number: 10055165
Abstract: In a hierarchical storage memory (HSM), a file recalled by a specific application is migrated as soon as possible after completion of the application process. Specifically, the effective UID of a specific process is preregistered on an HSM client. After a recall operation is performed on a certain file from the user ID, when there is no access from the UID to the file for a given length of time, the file is migrated. This prevents files premigrated by access from any application other than the specific one from being handled in the same way, resolving a disadvantageous problem caused when these (premigrated) files are not desired to be migrated preferentially.

  • Patent number: 10035560
Abstract: A bicycle control device controls a motor to assist driving of a wheel of a bicycle. The bicycle control device includes a controller configured to control the motor and an operation unit configured to be operated to switch operation modes of the motor. The controller includes at least a walk mode as the operation modes. In a case that a rotation speed of a wheel becomes lower than or equal to a predetermined value while the motor is driven in the walk mode, the controller is configured to control the motor so as to gradually decrease output of the motor and then stop driving the motor.

  • Patent number: 10029759
Abstract: A bicycle control device controls a motor to assist driving of a wheel of a bicycle. The bicycle control device includes a sole first operation switch and a controller. The controller is configured to switch, when the first operation switch is operated, between a ride mode that controls the motor in correspondence with manual driving force and a walk mode that drives the motor in correspondence with the operation of the first operation switch. After switching to the walk mode in accordance with the operation of the first operation switch, the controller is configured to drive the motor in correspondence with the operation of the first operation switch.

  • Patent number: 9996599
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a system includes a processor and logic integrated with and/or executable by the processor. The logic causes the processor to receive, at a remote site connected to a production site via a network, an incremental file list from the production site, each incremental file indicated by the incremental file list being either updated or new as determined during a time period between a data image at a previous synchronization (sync) point and a data image at a current sync point. The logic also causes the processor to tally a remote access count of each incremental file on the incremental file list received at the remote site by users at the remote site, record the tallied remote access counts in the incremental file list at the remote site, and transfer the incremental file list including the tallied remote access counts to the production site.

  • Publication number: 20180121464
Abstract: A mechanism is provided in a data processing system for asynchronous replication in a hierarchical storage management integrated storage system. For a given file to be replicated from a primary storage system to a remote storage system, the primary storage system accesses the remote storage system to determine file existence and migration status at the remote storage system for the given file. Responsive to the primary storage system determining that the given file exists and has been migrated from first tier storage to second tier storage at the remote storage system, the primary storage system determines a first performance penalty for file recall and a second performance penalty for sending excess data from the primary storage system to the remote storage system.

Abstract: Various embodiments are provided for managing a storage network system. The storage network system includes a plurality of zones. Each of the plurality of zones includes at least one storage network device. A link-down event associated with one of the storage network devices is detected. A determination of whether alternative storage network devices in an identified one of the plurality of zones where the link-down event occurred are in a link-down state, where at least a zone table and a routing table is used for the determining. In response to all of the storage network devices being in the link-down state, the identified one of the plurality of zones where the link-down event occurred is placed in a down state.

  • Publication number: 20180118211
Abstract: A bicycle controller includes an electronic control unit that controls a transmission unit and a motor in accordance with a shift request that changes the transmission ratio. If the transmission ratio is changed in multiple steps in accordance with the shift request, then the electronic control unit selectively executes one of first and second shifting operations. In the first shifting operation, the output of the motor is limited and the transmission unit is operated to reach a requested transmission ratio that corresponds to the shift request. In the second shifting operation, the output of the motor is limited and the transmission unit is operated to reach an intermediate transmission ratio of the requested transmission ratio, and after the electronic control unit temporarily reduces the limitation on the output of the motor, the electronic control unit again limits the output of the motor and operates the transmission unit.

  • Publication number: 20180118305
Abstract: A bicycle controller includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit controls a transmission device that changes a ratio of a rotational speed of a wheel of a bicycle to a rotational speed of a crank of the bicycle, and a motor that transmits torque to an upstream side of the transmission device in a transmission path of a manual driving force that is input to the crank. The electronic control unit switches between a first mode that drives the motor in accordance with the manual driving force and a second mode that allows the motor to be driven to assist walking of the bicycle. The electronic control unit controls the transmission device to change the ratio upon detection of the electronic control unit switching between the first mode and the second mode or the electronic control unit being in the second mode.

  • Publication number: 20180063469
Abstract: An approach, for storing video data in a plurality of tape media via a ring buffer. A tape data splitter receives video data stored in a ring buffer. The tape data splitter writes the video data to a current tape media. The tape data splitter detects an end of tape media event. The tape data splitter responds to the end of tape media event, by switching the current tape media to a next tape media. The tape data splitter selects a resume point for the video data stored in the ring buffer and writes to the next tape media, the video data stored in the ring buffer that is subsequent to the resume point.
