  • Publication number: 20140046721
Abstract: A method and system for analyzing dissimilarity among business components. Business processes are identified. Each business process includes a sequence of activities to be executed in a specified sequential order. Each activity in the sequence is assigned a sequence number and is associated with a single business component. For a first and second activity in each pair of different activities of the sequence of activities of each business process, a determination is made of a pair of a first and second business component to which the first and second business activity is respectively associated, a determination is made of a dissimilarity measure equal to a magnitude of a difference of the respective sequence numbers of the first and second business activities, and the dissimilarity measure is assigned to the pair of the first and second business component. A dissimilarity matrix including the dissimilarity measures is generated and stored.

  • Patent number: 8393953
Abstract: Before the start of a free game, a slot machine displays a selection screen on a variable display portion and accepts a selection made by the player with respect to the first choice image and the second choice image. The first special reel band or the second special reel band including a larger number of condor symbols than the normal reel band is associated by lottery to the first choice image and the second choice image. The main CPU changes the normal reel band associated to each reel display portion to a special reel band based on the selection made by the player. Then, the main CPU executes a free game using the special reel band that was changed.

  • Patent number: 7595099
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of producing simply and precisely an anisotropic optical element having optical properties that are anisotropic with respect to a direction of a normal to an element plane. After forming an uncured film by applying flatwise a radiation-polymerizable cholesteric liquid crystal to a substrate (step 101), the film is heated to convert the cholesteric phase of the liquid crystal in the film into an isotropic phase (step 102). Thereafter, the isotropic phase of the liquid crystal in the film is converted into the cholesteric phase thereof, with a gas blown on the film from a predetermined direction (step 103). By doing so, the liquid crystal is oriented in such a manner that a mean direction of directions of helical axes (a main direction of helical axes) in liquid crystal domains in the film is tilted, relative to a direction of a normal to a film plane, along a stream of the gas blown.

  • Publication number: 20090098927
Abstract: In a bonus game, a slot machine associates a bonus reel band made up of condor symbols and feather symbols to reel display portions. Thereafter, the slot machine accepts a selection operation made by the player to select one pay line. The slot machine displays the symbols in a variable fashion and stopped fashion based on the bonus reel band. The slot machine determines the bonus contents such as award of a MAJOR JACKPOT in accordance with the number of condor symbols displayed on the selected pay line in a stopped fashion. Then, the slot machine awards to the player a bonus having the contents thus determined.

  • Patent number: 7414171
Abstract: The invention relates to BALB/c mice that are deficient in the programmed cell death-1 receptor (PD-1), a screening method for autoimmune disease medicine using these mice, an IgG self-reactive antibody that the mice produce, a protein that specifically reacts to the antibody and is produced in heart, and a diagnostic method for dilated cardiomyopathy using the protein. Because PD-1 deficient BALB/c mice spontaneously develop autoimmune disease, and specifically dilated cardiomyopathy, they are useful for screening for medicines against these diseases.

  • Patent number: 7312170
Abstract: The present invention provides an optical synthetic quartz glass material which substantially does not cause changes in transmitted wave surface (TWS) by solarization, compaction (TWS delayed), rarefaction (TWS progressed) and photorefractive effect when ArF excimer laser irradiation is applied at a low energy density, e.g. at energy density per pulse of 0.3 mJ/cm2 or less. The present invention further provides a method for manufacturing the same. In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the optical synthetic quartz glass material of the present invention is characterized in that, in a synthetic quartz glass prepared by a flame hydrolysis method using a silicon compound as a material, the followings are satisfied that the amount of SiOH is within a range of more than 10 ppm by weight to 400 ppm by weight, content of fluorine is 30 to 1000 ppm by weight, content of hydrogen is 0.

  • Patent number: 7288775
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide synthetic quartz glass optical materials suitable for use in YAG of higher order harmonics. The damage threshold value in J/cm2 (energy density at which cracks occur generated by irradiation) is to be considered when synthetic quartz glass material is irradiated with YAG laser of third or higher order harmonics with single pulses or continuously. Regarding a synthetic quartz glass optical material in use for the optical parts constituting the prism and lens used in a laser beam machine, this invention provides a synthetic quartz glass material suitably used for the YAG laser with the third or higher order of harmonic, choosing the following conditions: OH group concentration is in the range of ?1 to ?300 ppm; contained hydrogen molecule concentration is in the range of ?2×1018 to ?2×1019 molecules/cm3; transmittance of ultraviolet rays at 245 nm of wavelength is 99.9% or more; and the fictive temperature is in the range of ?880 to ?990° C.

  • Patent number: 7234439
Abstract: A control device executes an overlap injection operation, in which one of the plurality of injectors is energized first to inject fuel, and a next one of the plurality of injectors is energized to inject fuel after starting of the energization of the one of the plurality of injectors while the one of the plurality of injectors is still kept energized. The control device corrects an energization period of the next one of the injectors by lengthening the energization period of the next one of the injectors in comparison to a normal energization period of the next one of the injectors, which is set for a non-overlap injection operation of the next one of the plurality of injectors.
