  • Publication number: 20080284695
Abstract: A IF inversion driving method writes signal voltage of the same polarity to a signal line over a 1F period, and therefore cannot prevent occurrence of crosstalk caused by coupling. Also, shading is caused. In an active matrix type liquid crystal display device including a pixel array unit 11 formed by two-dimensionally arranging pixels 20 in a form of a matrix, the pixel array unit 11 is divided into a plurality of areas (two areas 11A and 11B in a present example) in a vertical direction, while the plurality of areas being vertically scanned in order (alternately in the present example) in a unit of a row, pixels of the plurality of areas are selected in a unit of a row, and a video signal Vsig reversed in polarity in each H is written to the pixels of the selected row.

  • Patent number: 7074552
Abstract: A method for constructing a stable bioactive mammalian embryonic kidney is described herein. A kidney so constructed requires no artificial support, nor porous man made membranes or tubing to effectuate its biological function of filtering body fluids. A single donor embryonic kidney, or fragment thereof, can produce a great number of functional kidneys suitable for treating subjects with various kidney disorders. It is anticipated that said in vitro produced kidney would be less, or not at all, antigenic when transplanted into a subject, because of its embryonic character and artificial propagation in culture. This method of producing a functional organ can be useful in cloning other organ structures containing inducible epithelial tissues.

  • Patent number: 7021521
Abstract: A bump connection is formed by stacking at least two metallic balls of different kinds of metals on a conductor of an electronic component such as a semiconductor device. The bump connection is obtained by forming the metallic balls using metallic wires. An apparatus for forming the connection includes a support, capillary member for having a wire pass therethrough, a pair of clamps for clamping the wire, and a “torch” (e.g., electrode, gas flame) which heats the tip of the wire, forming the ball. Successive balls can be formed by this apparatus atop the initially formed ball to provide a stacked configuration.

  • Patent number: 6683593
Abstract: A liquid crystal display realizes high resolution without enlarging a frame area of an array substrate in the display. The display connects analog switch pairs each consisting of a p-TFT and an n-TFT to signal lines, respectively. Among the TFTs, those having the same polarity and connected to adjacent signal lines are provided with drain electrodes that are connected to a video bus through a common contact hole. Sharing the contact holes among the TFTs enables the switch pairs to be juxtaposed at fine pixel pitches.

  • Publication number: 20030023779
Abstract: Improvement is obtained in quality of transmitting by extraction of the accurate transfer data from the Symbol data stream includes Guard Interval and transfer data. The first aspect of the present invention is expansion of the size of the memory means for inputting to be able to store N+n samples (N means the size of symbol data, n is smaller than GI) using means to input the discrete input data sampled at a constant period, and fetch N samples of data from the optimum position. In the second aspect, the size of memory block for inputting stores N samples (N is power of 2, and N means the size of symbol data) as not changing their size. For inputting, at least 2 memory blocks are allocated with the function to independently control the riming to initiate fetching the input data to the each block. Therefore the data at the optimum position can be selected at the operation.
