Publication number: 20210253384Abstract: A feeding device to transport a recording medium includes a main body having a drive source, a tray that is rotatably attached to the main body and on which the recording medium is to be loaded, a handling mechanism provided on the tray, an operation arm portion attached to the main body, and an operation lever provided on the tray so as to face the operation arm portion. The handling mechanism handles the recording medium. The operation arm portion moves in one direction along a rotation axis of the tray by a driving force from the drive source. The operation arm portion moves in the one direction so that the operation arm portion abuts on the operation lever and transmits the driving force to the operation lever so that the operation lever is pushed. The driving force received by the pushed operation lever is transmitted to the handling mechanism.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 10, 2021Publication date: August 19, 2021Inventor: Hiroyuki Takahara

Patent number: 8817344Abstract: A scanner apparatus includes: a holder configured to hold a line sensor unit; a first spacer and a second spacer disposed on both sides of the line sensor unit in a longitudinal direction and configured to come into contact with the transparent plate; and a biasing unit configured to press the holder toward the transparent plate between the first spacer and the second spacer in the longitudinal direction. The line sensor unit and the holder are coupled together on both sides of the biasing unit in the longitudinal direction. A force applied to the holder by the biasing unit is transmitted from the holder through two coupling portions to the line sensor unit, thereby biasing the first spacer and the second spacer to the transparent plate.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 2012Date of Patent: August 26, 2014Assignee: Canon Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Hiroyuki Takahara

Patent number: 7920306Abstract: An image reading apparatus enabling a user to flexibly select one of plural reading modes, for example, for continuously reading two-sided images of stacked document sheets or reading pages of a book or a large document exceeding a platen. In a first reading mode, a reading unit scans a document and reads a document image. In a second reading mode, a stationary reading unit and the reading unit read an image of a document fed from a document feeder section. The reading unit is provided in a flatbed reading section which is detachable from an apparatus body. The flatbed reading section, when detached from the apparatus body, can be used as a flatbed scanner.Type: GrantFiled: March 9, 2007Date of Patent: April 5, 2011Assignee: Canon Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Naho Kurokawa, Hiroyuki Takahara

Patent number: 7529001Abstract: A scan guide upon image reading by an image reading apparatus having a driving mechanism constructed by a rack and a pinion gear is stably performed. The pinion gear is provided on a downstream side of two contact portions which are in contact with a guide rail of the reading scan. A straight line drawn in a pressure angle direction from a contact point of the rack and the pinion gear upon reading and scanning passes between the two contact portions with the guide rail, so that a stable positional relation between a driving force of the gear and the contact portions is obtained. The stable guiding can be performed.Type: GrantFiled: June 21, 2007Date of Patent: May 5, 2009Assignee: Canon Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Hiroyuki Takahara

Patent number: 6859898Abstract: In a monitor apparatus for a sequential-function-chart-type programmable controller, a standard value of an active time of an arbitrary step in a sequential-function-chart program is stored, and the active time of the arbitrary step is measured during execution of the program. An anomalous state of the arbitrary step is detected through comparison between the measured active time and the reference value. Further, data indicating whether each step in the sequential-function-chart program has been executed are stored. The program is displayed such a manner that an anomalous step, a step or steps which have been executed, and a step or steps which have not yet been executed are distinguished from one another.Type: GrantFiled: September 19, 2000Date of Patent: February 22, 2005Assignee: Toyoda Koki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Tsuyoshi Yamashita, Masaharu Fujisaki, Hidetoshi Kato, Hiroyuki Takahara

Patent number: 6190294Abstract: A horizontal machine tool has a spindle head which supports a horizontal tool spindle. The spindle head is guided on a top surface portion of a base such that the spindle head is movable in two horizontal directions X and Z. A workpiece support for supporting a workpiece on its upper end is guided on the vertical front face portion of the base for movement in a vertical direction Y. When the spindle head is located at a machining position at the center in the X direction, a pair of guide portions of each of a front/back guide mechanism for the spindle head and a vertical guide mechanism for the workpiece support body take symmetrical positions with respect to a vertical plane including the axis of the tool spindle. A first index member and a second index member for supporting the workpiece are provided on the workpiece support body. Therefore, all surfaces of the workpiece excepting an attachment surface can be machined while being directed to a tool on the tool spindle.Type: GrantFiled: September 29, 1998Date of Patent: February 20, 2001Assignee: Toyoda Koki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Yasuhiro Okada, Kengo Yoshioka, Fumio Sakamoto, Sentaro Sugita, Hidekazu Hirano, Takeshi Nishikayama, Hiroyuki Takahara
