    Abstract: A seat device comprises a pair of main seat portions which can be turned backwards and arranged close to each other, a pair of main seat back portions projecting upwardly from the main seat portions, respectively, a pair of auxiliary seat portions attached to both sides of each main seat portion, and a pair of auxiliary seat back portion attached to both sides of each main seat back portion. All the auxiliary seat back portions and the seat portions are movable between an extended position and an unextended position. The seat device is suitable for use in a van type automotive vehicle.

  • Rotatable seat for an automotive vehicle

    Abstract: A rotatable seat for a multi-passenger automotive vehicle employs a latch mechanism releasable only by manual operation of an actuating lever. The latch mechanism includes latch-and-hook assemblies at both the front and rear of the seat to prevent inadvertent rotation of the seat. In addition, the seat rotation is governed by a cam having deep recesses at the two normal sitting positions. The cam is designed with sloping faces so that the weight of the seat drives rotation towards the normal positions. An additional safety mechanism prevents rotation of the seat unless the seat back is in a position preventing passengers from sitting thereon.

    Abstract: An elongate guide track having at least one elongate ridge portion is fixed to a side wall of a vehicle in such a manner that the ridge portion extends substantially horizontally and projects upwardly. A vertical roller and at least one horizontal roller are rotatably connected to an end of the door through a pivotable bracket member. The vertical roller is formed at its peripheral wall with an annular groove so as to slidably receive therein the elongate ridge portion.

    Abstract: The diameter of a filler cap closing a filler tube is smaller than that of an opening of a filler cover secured to a rear side panel of a vehicle body, through which the filler tube extends outwardly. The filler cover is fastened to a filler neck flange fitted on the filler tube by means of headed screws which pass through spreadable slots formed in the filler cover and are fixed to the filler neck flange.
