  • Patent number: 6191940
Abstract: A foldable and portable planar display device includes a display, an intermediate support, and two side supports. The display includes a display screen and a display pivotal connecting means at a lower end thereof. The intermediate support includes an intermediate support pivotal connecting means that is pivotally connected to the display pivotal connecting means such that the intermediate support can pivotally turn with respect to the display and be positioned at a determined angle. The intermediate support is closable to rest against a rear side of the display. Each side support includes a side support pivotal connecting means pivotally connected to the display pivotal connecting means such that the side support can turn with respect to the display and be positioned at a determined angle. The side supports are closable to rest against the rear side of the display. By means of the intermediate support and the two side supports, the display can be supported on a planar surface in a firm and stable manner.

  • Patent number: 6056248
Abstract: An all-dimensional display device includes a base, a support, and a display. The base has one side provided with an opening at an intermediate portion thereof, with opposed holes formed on opposite sides that define the opening. At least one of the holes of the base accommodates a retaining element. The support has a width matching the length of the opening of the base and one end provided with pins projecting from both sides thereof. The pins are insertable into the holes of the base so that the support is pivotally turnable with respect to the base. The display includes a display board, a display screen, and a pivotal connecting element pivotally connecting the display to the support so that the display can turn forwardly and rearwardly as well as horizontally with respect to the support.

  • Patent number: 5880928
Abstract: A notebook computer with audio and video effects including a body and a display. The body contains a mainframe inside and input and relevant elements at an upper side. The display is connected to the body by a rotary shaft and to the mainframe via a circuit device. Two sound holes are respectively formed at both lateral sides of the display for connection with respective sound boxes via sound box connecting elements, which are connected to the mainframe via a circuit device. The display is further provided with a camera hole at an upper side thereof opposite to the rotary shaft. The camera hole is connected to a CCD camera by a camera connecting device. The sound box connecting elements enable the respective sound boxes to be retained in the sound holes or exposed on the outside. Similarly, the camera connecting device enables the CCD camera to be retained in the camera hole or exposed on the outside.

  • Patent number: 5865431
Abstract: A scanner which can be used in both sheet feed and self move modes including a scanner body and a cover. The scanner body has an entry slot at a top side of a lateral wall thereof, and an elongated roller driven by a motor and connected via circuit means to a control panel. The control panel is connected via circuit means to a sensor at one end and is connected to a connector at the other end for connection with a computer. The scanner body further has an exit slot at a top side of a lateral wall opposite to the entry slot. The cover is a plate connected via connecting means to the top side of the scanner body and can be turned open through 270.degree.. When the cover is put on the scanner body, the scanner is in a sheet feed mode. But when the cover is turned over through 270.degree. and the scanner body inverted, the scanner is in a self move mode.

  • Patent number: 5803569
Abstract: A notebook computer with projecting function including a mainframe and a display. The mainframe has conventional input devices and circuits connecting the display via a rotary shaft. The display is connected to the mainframe by the rotary shaft at one side thereof and includes a liquid crystal display, a cover plate, an assembly of a reflective plate and a luminous body, and a frame at the other three sides of the display and capable of 90 degrees rotation. The liquid crystal display has a display frame at its periphery. When the cover plate and the assembly are disposed on the display frame and the frame is insertably connected to the cover plate, the notebook computer is an ordinary one. But when the cover plate and the assembly are detached from the display frame, and the frame is turned through 90 degrees, the images displayed on the liquid crystal display may be projected with the use of a projector.
