  • Patent number: 11280808
Abstract: A plunger of the probe has a slider portion engaged with a plunger guide hole formed in a socket body, which is prevented from rotating, and first and second positioning surfaces having different vertical positions along a central axis of the probe by cutting two places of a rounded bar member in a radial direction. The probe receptacle has a first abutting protrusion on which the first positioning surface is abuttable and a second abutting protrusion on which the second positioning surface is abuttable when the probe is inserted in a correct posture. When the plunger is inserted in an erroneous posture, the first positioning surface abuts on the second abutting protrusion to prevent the plunger from projecting from the plunger guide hole or project the plunger by an amount less than the design dimension.

  • Patent number: 7494387
Abstract: An electric contact of a socket for an electrical part is disposed between a first electrical part and a second electrical part so as to electrically connect the first and second electrical parts, and includes: a first electrical part side contact member contacting the first electrical part; a second electrical part side contact member contacting the second electrical part, the coil spring including a first spring portion abutting against the first electrical part side contact member and a second spring portion abutting against the second electrical part side contact member. When the first electrical part contacts the first electrical part side contact member, an axis of the first spring portion inclines with respect to an axis of the second spring portion, and then, a portion of the first electrical part side contact member on a side contacting the first electrical part is transversely moved.

  • Patent number: 6824411
Abstract: A socket for an electrical part comprises a socket body having a stationary portion to which a number of contact pins are disposed so as to be contacted to or separated from a number of terminals disposed to an electrical part, each of the contact pins having first and second contact portions between which each of the terminals is clamped. The socket body is provided with a slide plate to be transversely slidable in a usable state of the socket, and one of the first and second contact portions is displaced by sliding the slide plate to thereby open or close the first and second contact portions.

  • Patent number: 6428337
Abstract: A socket for electrical parts is provided with a socket body for accommodating the electrical part. A plurality of contact pins is arranged to the socket body so that a central side contact pin is arranged to the socket body to contact a center side terminal of the electrical part and a peripheral side contact pin is arranged to the socket body to contact a peripheral side terminal of the electrical part. A press unit is arranged to press an upper surface of the peripheral portion towards a bottom surface side thereof so that, if the electrical part is warped, it becomes possible to securely hold the electrical part by the press unit.

  • Patent number: 6280218
Abstract: A socket for an electrical part comprises a socket body, a contact pin disposed to the socket body, a movable member mounted on the socket body and adapted to displace the contact pin, and an operation unit for moving the movable member to thereby displace the contact pin. When the the contact pin is displaced, a terminal having a spherical outer shape of an electrical part is fitted to the socket body with the terminal being in non-contact state to clamping pieces of the contact pin and when the movable member is returned to an original position before movement therebetween, the displacement of the contact pin is released and the terminal of the electrical part contacts an contacting portion of the contact pin to thereby establish an electrical connection therebetween. The direction of the displacement of the contacting portion of the contact pin is set to a direction oblique to a moving direction of the movable member.

  • Patent number: 5908324
Abstract: A socket for electric parts is equipped with a socket body having a mounting face on which an electric part is mounted; contact pins fixed on the socket body, each having a contact portion, a trigger portion, and a spring portion; and a cover mounted on the socket body, free to move up and down. The end edge of the contact portion contacts a corresponding lead of the electric part and is configured to incline with respect to the end edge of the lead. The trigger portion and the spring portion are configured to project toward the center of the socket body. The width of the spring portion projecting toward the center of the socket body is such as to increase progressively in going to the base portion of the contact pin. In this way, a high pressure of contact between the lead and the contact pin and a sufficient wiping action are ensured, and a socket for electric parts capable of continued high performance over a long period of time is provided.
