Abstract: A spool feeding method comprising transferring a spool box having a plurality of spools with a cord wound on each of them, the spools being arranged with the axial direction of the spools vertical, to a spool takeout position, loading the spools onto a holding device from the spool box so as to change the axial direction of the spools from vertical to horizontal, and carrying the spools over to a creel stand and setting the spools on creel shafts on the creel stand. A spool feeder including at least one transfer mechanism for transferring a spool box to a spool takeout position, at least one loading mechanism for loading spools from the spool box onto a holding device at the takeout position, at least one moving mechanism capable of moving between a receiving position and the creel stand and a setting device for setting the spools held by the holding device to creel shafts laterally set on the creel stand.

Abstract: A a polyaluminum dialkyl phosphate is disclosed. The compound is prepared by the reaction of:(A) a dialkyl phosphate represented by formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 independently represent a hydrocarbon group of a C.sub.8-26 carbon atom content, or a salt thereof, and(B) a basic polyaluminum salt represented by formula(II):Al.sub.m (OH).sub.n X.sub.1.kH.sub.2 O (II)wherein X represents an anion having a valency of x other than a hydroxyl ion, m represents a positive integer satisfying the equation: 3m=n+xl, and k represents 0 or a positive integer, in an aqueous medium in which the resulting polyaluminum dialkyl phosphate is insoluble. The polyaluminum dialkyl phosphate, when it is formulated into a liquid oil, provides a highly transparent, densely structured, soft gel which contains only small amount of free oil component. The gel posseses favorable rheological characteristics and can adequately disperse by a stress and imparts a good feeling upon use.

Abstract: A polyaluminum dialkyl phosphate is disclosed. Abstract: A novel cosmetic comprises an oil gel formed by at least one metal salt of a dialkyl phosphate of the following general formula (I), (II) or (III) ##STR1## in which each R.sub.1 and each R.sub.2 independently represent a saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched hydrocarbon group having from 8 to 36 carbon atoms, m is an integer of from 1 to 3, n is an integer of from 0 to 2, k is a value of 1 or 2, and 1 is a value of 0 to 1, and a cosmetic oil.The metal salt of the dialkyl phosphate can yield a good oil gel when it is incorporated into the oil in an amount as small as 0.1 to 10% of the oil. Further, the dialkyl phosphate retains good feel of oils without causing oozing of the oil, crazing, discoloration, perspiration and the like.

Abstract: .alpha.-mono(methyl-branched alkyl) glyceryl ethers represented by the formula ##STR1## where m is an integer of 2 to 14, n is an integer of 3 to 11, and the total of m+n is 11 to 17, are disclosed along with skin care compositions containing the same as emulsifiers.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an emulsifying agent comprising (a) a partially or completely neutralized product, with a basic substance, of a phosphoric acid ester which contains a phosphoric acid monoester represented by the general formula (I) and a phosphoric acid diester represented by the general formula (II) from 100:0 to 70:30 molar ratio: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.4 represent individually a linear alkyl group or a linear alkenyl group of 10-22 carbon atoms or a branched alkyl group of 12-24 carbon atoms, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 represent individually an ethylene group or a propylene group, and m and n represent individually a number of 0-30, and (b) a nonionic surfactant with HLB of 6 or less. Emulsified cosmetics comprising (a) the neutralized product of the phosphoric acid ester, (b) a nonionic surfactant with HLB of 6 or less, (c) an oily substrate, and (d) water is also disclosed.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an emulsifier or emulsifying composition which comprises one or more of the hydroxyalkyl or hydroxyalkenyl phosphates represented by the general formula (I) and/or (II): ##STR1## in which R represents an alkyl or alkenyl group of 5-21 carbon atoms, X.sub.1 and X.sub.2 independently represent a pair ion selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkali metal, ammonium, etc.The emulsifying composition according to the invention is highly safe to skin and widely usable in the emulsification of either W/O or O/W type.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an emulsifying composition which comprises one or more of the alkyl or alkenyl glyceryl ether phosphate compounds represented by the formula (I) and/or (II): ##STR1## in which R represents a linear saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group having 8-20 carbon atoms, X.sub.1 and X.sub.2 are independently a pair ion selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkali metal, ammonium, alkylammonium which has an alkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms, and alkanolamine which has a hydroxyalkyl group having 2 or 3 carbon atoms.The above emulsifying composition is high in safety against skin and can be widely used in either type of W/O or O/W emulsion.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a novel 2,3-dialkoxypropyl glyceryl ether and the preparation process for it. The above diglycerin dialkyl ether is readily prepared with high yield and purity by reacting its corresponding glycidyl ether with a protected glycerin to form a 1,3-dioxolan compound, followed by etherifying the thus formed 1,3-dioxolan compound into a dialkyl ether dioxolan compound, and then hydrolyzing the resultant dialkyl ether dioxolan compound. This diglycerin dialkyl ether is useful as an emulsifier, cleaner etc., and is preferably used as a component of cosmetic compositions. A cosmetic composition comprising the above 2,3-dialkoxypropyl glyceryl ether is also disclosed.

Abstract: A water-in-oil type cosmetic composition comprising a cosmetic oil base material, water and a specific emulsifier are disclosed. The specific emulsifier comprising the following three components:(1) 94 to 43% by weight of .alpha.-mono(methyl-branched alkyl) glyceryl ether represented by the formula (I):R--OCH.sub.2 CH(OH)CH.sub.2 OH (I)where, R is a methyl-branched saturated hydrocarbon group having 14 to 20 carbon atoms;(2) 0.4 to 9.8% by weight of a multi-valent metal salt of a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic acid having 10 to 22 carbon atoms; and(3) 8 to 54% by weight of at least one inorganic or organic salt having a solubility in water of at least 0.2 g per 100 g of water at 20.degree. C.

Abstract: A cosmetic composition comprising a cosmetic oil component, water and a specific emulsifier are disclosed. The specific emulsifier comprisesa branched fatty acid cholesterol ester of the formula (I) ##STR1## where R is a saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group having a total of 11 to 23 carbon atoms and including at least one alkyl substituent group attached on the main chain inbetween the carboxyl-bonding position and the center of the main chain, andcholesterol;wherein said branched fatty acid cholesterol ester and said cholesterol are in a weight ratio of 90:10 to 10:90.

Abstract: An emulsifier composition comprising a polyoxyethylene sorbitol fatty acid ester and a multivalent metal salt of a fatty acid is effective in stabilizing water-in-oil type emulsions.

Abstract: A skin-protecting cosmetic composition comprising a hydroxypropyl-etherified glycolipid ester represented ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a methyl group or a hydrogen atom; R.sup.2 represents a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group having carbon atoms of 11 to 15 when R.sup.1 is a methyl group, or a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group having carbon atoms of 12 to 16 when R.sup.1 is a hydrogen atom; a represents the group ##STR2## R.sup.3 represents a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group having carbon atoms of 1 to 20 or --(A).sub.h H; and a, b, c, d, e, f, g and h are each integers, whose sum ranges from 1 to 60.

Abstract: A cosmetic composition comprising as an essential ingredient a hydroxyalkyl-etherified glycolipid ester represented by the formula, ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a methyl group or a hydrogen atom; R.sup.2 represents a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group having 11 to 15 carbon atoms when R.sup.1 is a methyl group, or a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group having 12 to 16 carbon atoms when R.sup.1 is a hydrogen atom; A represents --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 O-- or --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 O-- and ##STR2## R.sup.3 represents a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms; and a,b,c,d,e,f,g and h are each integers, whose sum ranges from 1 to 100.

Abstract: A detergent composition which has a low irritation effect to human skin containing as an active surfactant component one or a mixture of compounds having the formulas ##STR1## wherein R is saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon having 10 to 16 carbon atoms, X.sub.1 and X.sub.3 are hydrogen, alkali metal, ammonium, alkylammonium or substituted alkylammonium, and X.sub.2 is alkali metal, ammonium, alkylammonium or substituted alkylammonium, with the provisos that both X.sub.1 and X.sub.2 are not alkali metal and that when R has an average carbon atom number of 10, X.sub.1 is hydrogen, and wherein the weight ratio of the formula (1) compound(s) : formula (2) compound(s) is from 100:0 to 80:20.

Abstract: A liquid shampoo composition comprising an aqueous solution of (A) monoalkyl ester salt of phosphoric acid and (B) trialkylaminoacetobetaine, trialkylaminopropanesulfobetaine or mixture thereof. The composition possesses high detergency, high foaming and low skin irritation properties.

Abstract: An emulsifying or solubilizing agent composition comprising 58 to 95% by weight of a polyoxyethylene (10 to 100) sorbitol branched saturated fatty acid (C.sub.11 to C.sub.21) ester having from 3 to 6 ester groups in the molecule, 0.5 to 2.5% by weight of an alkali metal salt of a linear or branched fatty acid (C.sub.11 to C.sub.21), 2.5 to 6.0% by weight of a linear or branched fatty acid (C.sub.11 to C.sub.23) and 2 to 35% by weight of a branched saturated fatty acid ester of polyethylene glycol having an average molecular weight of from 150 to 2000.

Abstract: A steel sheet coating having high corrosion-resistivity and paint-adhesivity can be obtained by applying a water solution of specific composition described hereinafter on a steel sheet, followed by drying; and exposing the coating to ultraviolet rays in an air atmosphere; said water solution contains a chemical compound which has been prepared by reacting a prepolymer of an epoxy resin with acrylic acid or methacrylic acid in order to introduce vinyl groups into the molecules of said prepolymer, another chemical compound of chromate or dichromate for chelation and a molybdenum compound as a stabilizer.

Abstract: An emulsifying or solubilizing agent composition comprising 58 to 95% by weight of a surface active agent of the polyoxyethylene sorbitol-unsaturated fatty acid ester type having the formula ##EQU1## wherein the sum of n1 + n2 + n3 + n4 + n5 + n6 is from 10 to 60, and on the average, up to 3 of the X's are hydrogen and the balance of the X's are linear unsaturated acyl groups having 18 carbon atoms,0.5 to 1.0% by weight of an alkali metal salt of a linear fatty acid having 12 to 18 carbon atoms, 2.5 to 6.0% by weight of a linear fatty acid, and 2 to 35% by weight of C.sub.18 linear unsaturated fatty acid ester of a polyethylene glycol having an average molecular weight of 150 to 2,000.
