  • Patent number: 8664845
Abstract: A discharge tube includes a reflective film formed on an outer periphery of a cylindrical glass bulb by metal deposition. The reflective film is deposited in a range of 240° or more in the circumferential direction, and the range being larger in a center part than at each end in the axial direction. A stroboscopic device is equipped with this discharge tube.

  • Patent number: 7619361
Abstract: A discharge lamp device is provided that includes a light source device including a reflective surface. In the light source, noble gas not including mercury is excited to provide stable light emission and ozone or the like is prevented from being generated. This discharge lamp device includes airtight container (10) in which both end sections of a glass bulb are sealed. Airtight container (10) is filled with a discharge medium mainly including noble gas. One end section of airtight container (10) includes first electrode (11). Airtight container (10) is externally attached to insulating holder (20) having a square plate-like shape that includes penetration hole(s) (21) at one or a plurality of position(s). Holder (20) is fitted to second electrode (12) shaped to be a U-like groove so that a fixed interval between airtight container (10) and second electrode (12) is maintained.

  • Publication number: 20080290778
Abstract: A fluorescent lamp including a curved glass bulb that has a layer including a phosphor layer on an inner surface, mercury and a rare gas enclosed inside, and a pair of electrodes at both ends, and when a tube inner diameter (mm) of the glass bulb is plotted on a horizontal axis of an orthogonal coordinate system and a total amount of CO2 and CO (mol %) contained in gas present inside the glass bulb is plotted on a vertical axis of the orthogonal coordinate system, the tube inner diameter and the total amount of CO2 and CO are in a predetermined area or on a boundary thereof, the predetermined area being bounded by line segments AB, BC, CD, and DA that connect a point A (1.5 mm, 0.008 mol %), a point B (4.0 mm, 0.0005 mol %), a point C (4.0 mm, 0 mol %), and a point D (1.5 mm, 0 mol %) in the stated order. As a result, a fluorescent lamp that has no illumination failure caused by snaking can be obtained even though the fluorescent lamp is in a curved shape.

  • Patent number: 7276851
Abstract: A discharge light having a light emitting tube (1) encapsulates a discharging medium, an inner electrode (2) disposed in the light emitting tube, and an outer electrode unit (4) fixed to the outside of the light emitting tube. The outer electrode unit has at least a plurality of outer electrodes (4b) arranged intermittently in the axial direction of the tube and having a part abutting on the outer wall face of the light emitting tube, and a part (4c) engaging with the light emitting tube while coupling the outer electrodes thereof integrally, wherein the engaging part clamps the light emitting tube at a part thereof thus holding the outer electrode unit around the light emitting tube. The light emitting tube is lighted by applying a voltage between the inner electrode and the outer electrode. The outer electrode can be fixed readily to the light emitting tube and the plurality of outer electrodes can be held against the light emitting tube with high accuracy.
