Patent number: 5898016Abstract: A metallic support catalyst includes a honeycomb body, an outer cylinder and a catalyst ingredient loading layer, and has a geometric surface area of 40 cm.sup.2 /g or more with respect to its unit weight. The honeycomb body is formed of a flat metallic foil and a corrugated metallic foil, which are laminated and formed as a roll so as to form a plurality of honeycomb-shaped cells in the honeycomb body. The outer cylinder holds the honeycomb body therein. The catalyst ingredient loading layer is coated on the honeycomb-shaped cells of the honeycomb body. The honeycomb body can be formed of a flat metallic foil and a corrugated metallic foil, which have a thickness of from 0.02 to 0.04 mm. The catalyst ingredient loading layer can have a weight of from 60 to 150 g/liter with respect to a unit volume of said honeycomb body.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 1995Date of Patent: April 27, 1999Assignees: Cataler Industrial Co., Ltd., Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Hisashi Takei, Toshihiro Takada, Kiyomi Iida

Patent number: 5158240Abstract: A pulverizer has a shell having an inlet port for introducing air and the material to be pulverized into the shell and a discharge port through which the pulverized product is discharged from the shell. The shell is filled with a pulverizing medium such as steel balls. A vertical screw shaft having a screw blade thereon is rotatably mounted in the shell. The screw shaft is hollow and provided at the bottom end thereof with an outlet port. The outlet port is located behind the screw blade with respect to the direction of rotation of the screw shaft. A fluid supply box is provided at the bottom of the screw shaft and extends from the screw shaft to the outer edge of the screw blade. The outlet port is formed in the fluid supply box. A scrape plate protrudes downwards from the bottom end of the screw shaft. Three or more screw blades may be provided.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 1991Date of Patent: October 27, 1992Assignee: Kubota CorporationInventors: Yoshitaka Ihara, Hidemasa Ishikawa, Iwao Ikebuchi, Hisashi Takei, Shigetoshi Kawabata

Patent number: 5114083Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for pulverizing a material to produce a fine powdery material such as silica powder as a material for a filler for sealing semiconductors. It has a shell and a screw shaft mounted in the shell. A disk having an inverted conical bottom surface is coaxially secured to the bottom of the screw shaft. The disk serves to protect the blade of the screw shaft from wear. Also owing to the inverted conical bottom surface, a centripetal force acts on the screw shaft while in rotation, thus preventing it from running out of true. By providing a plurality of screw shafts in the shell, the fluid in the shell flows in a complicated manner, thus increasing the pulverizing efficiency. A partitioning plate formed with a hole in the upper or lower part thereof may be provided between the adjacent screw shafts to minimize the possibility of shortcircuiting of the material from the inlet of the shell to its outlet.Type: GrantFiled: February 12, 1990Date of Patent: May 19, 1992Assignee: Kubota, Ltd.Inventors: Iwao Ikebuchi, Yoshitaka Ihara, Hisashi Takei, Syozo Yamada, Mamoru Nakano, Akira Ganse

Patent number: 5063400Abstract: A lens-fitted photographic film package includes a light-tight film case with a taking lens fitted thereto, an empty film container enclosed in the light-tight film case, and a rolled film with its one end retained in the empty film container enclosed in the light-tight film case. The light-tight film case is provided with a portion openable to form an opening in the light-tight film case through which the film container, e.g. a standard film patrone having a spool, is removed in an axial direction.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 1989Date of Patent: November 5, 1991Assignee: Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hisashi Takei, Hiroshi Ohmura, Seimei Ushiro, Mitsuyoshi Mochida, Yoshihiko Nakamura, Seiji Asano, Toshio Yoshida
