    Abstract: A rolling mill stand in which at least one of the back-up rolls is given a convex crown around the roll body in an amount from 0.5 mm to 10 mm in diameter and at least one of the work rolls contacting the back-up rolls is given a concave crown around the roll body under the condition:0.4.times.C.sub.BUR .gtoreq.C.sub.WR .gtoreq.0.15.times.C.sub.BURAlso disclosed are mill arrangements in which at least one rolling mill stand of the above type is incorporated.
