Abstract: Apparatuses and techniques are described for delivering mass notification messages to electronic devices and multimedia applications with the possibility of enhancing the mass notification messages. Apparatuses and techniques are described for delivering emergency alerts to personal electronic devices. Techniques are describes for delivering emergency alerts to video applications receiving video content over IP networks. Apparatuses and techniques above can be extended to other types of mass notification message such as advertisement messages.

Abstract: The present invention provides methods and systems that can render INE content to a web browser. Various methods and approaches are disclosed that when implemented would enable an INE to place some of INE's contents in a web browser of a user. The INE content can be in the form of a tool bar or interstitial content. The invention can provide one or more of the following advantages: a) provide an opportunity for INE to conduct e-commerce, b) enable an INE to develop alternate revenue generation model, and c) enable an INE or it's related entities to participate in e-commerce and advertising.

Abstract: Methods and systems to enable an Intermediate Network Entity (INE) to modify a Web Page requested by an end-user. The modification may involve placing a Mini-Webpage designated areas of the requested Web Page. An INE may be enabled to receive a request for a Web Page, process the request, modify the requested Web Page by placing Mini-Webpages in designated areas of the Web Page. The methods would allow the Mini-Webpages to be formed by the INE, Web Page provider or a third party ad server. The Mini-Webpages may be targeted based on certain criteria such as the nature of the Web Page requested, the information about the end-user, and the information about the INE. An INE may share some of the economic benefits associated with the ability to convey desired information to an end-user.

A request for a web page is intercepted and redirected to a web page processing agent, which fetches the requested web content. A new web page is generated that includes the requested web content and inserted content provided from another source, such as from an ISP. The inserted content is presented in a dedicated screen area. The new web page may include a first frame comprising the inserted content and a second frame including the requested web content, such that the end user can scroll the web content without affecting the inserted content.
