  • Publication number: 20240067168
Abstract: A vehicle controller includes a processor configured to detect a vehicle ahead of a host vehicle from time-series sensor signals obtained by a sensor provided on the host vehicle for sensing objects around the host vehicle, track the vehicle ahead detected from the time-series sensor signals, determine whether the vehicle ahead has performed an avoidance action, based on the result of tracking, detect, when the vehicle ahead has performed an avoidance action, a trajectory of an edge of the vehicle ahead opposite a direction of avoidance in the avoidance action, and control travel of the host vehicle so that an edge of the host vehicle opposite the direction of avoidance moves along the detected trajectory.

  • Publication number: 20240071097
Abstract: An apparatus for object detection detects a number of lanes included in a road on which a vehicle is traveling, detects one or more surrounding vehicles positioned in surroundings of the vehicle from a surrounding image showing the surroundings of the vehicle generated by a camera mounted in the vehicle, and determines, when more surrounding vehicles than the number of lanes detected in a predetermined range at the back of the vehicle are detected alongside in a width direction of the vehicle, that a possibility that any one of the surrounding vehicles being an emergency vehicle which is allowed to travel without obeying the traveling rule of the road is higher than when more surrounding vehicles than the number of lanes are not detected alongside in a width direction of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 5041939
Abstract: The present invention relates to a magnetic tape cassette comprising upper and lower halves of cassette forming the cassette body wherein supply and take-up reels for a tape are to be loaded, a front cover that swivels and covers rotatably the front side of the cassette where the tape runs and a front cover spring that keeps causing the front cover to be swiveled in one direction. In the upper half of cassette offered by the invention, the side wall of the upper half of cassette is provided with a loading opening, and when a shaft provided on the front cover for supporting the front cover when it swivels or rotates is positioned at the corner of the loading opening, it is possible to mount the front cover regularly and finally only on the upper half of cassette owing to a stopper protrusion that checks the downward movement of the shaft provided on the front cover and a slip-prevention protrusion that checks the forward movement of the same shaft.

  • Patent number: 4697446
Abstract: A roll forming apparatus has an elevatable base that is moved up and down by an elevating mechanism. Carriages are movably mounted on the base on both sides of a forming pass line. Each carriage carries several side rolls that are disposed along the forming pass line. A pair of side roll position adjusting mechanisms are coupled to each carriage. The pair of side roll position adjusting mechanisms move a carriage back and forth to form the desired forming pass. An elevating mechanism is provided to move up and down the base so that the level and inclination of the forming pass line is set as desired.
