  • Publication number: 20080261696
Abstract: A game controller includes at least four load sensors for detecting a load applied on a support board on which player's legs are ridden, and the game controller transmits a load value detected as manipulation data by the four load sensors to a game machine. The game machine determines a necessary quantity of load values, and the game machine computes the necessary quantity of load values based on the detected load value from the game controller. Then, game processing is performed based on the necessary quantity of computed load values.

  • Publication number: 20080248666
Abstract: A main frame supports a receiving-side connector to which a connecting-side connector is connected in movable manner toward inside. A holding unit holds the receiving-side connector that is moved to the inside. A connector biasing unit applies a biasing force toward outside to the receiving-side connector. A hold releasing unit releases a hold by the holding unit, and moves the receiving-side connector to the outside by the biasing force. A pressing-force applying unit applies, when the receiving-side connector is not moved by the biasing force, a pressing force for ejecting the receiving-side connector to the receiving-side connector.

  • Publication number: 20080039202
Abstract: A game apparatus is capable of controlling infrared radiation means for radiating infrared light. The game apparatus executes game processing using imaging information on the infrared light obtained from an input device. The input device takes an image of the infrared light radiated by the infrared radiation means, and also receives an input from a user. The game apparatus comprises pattern storage means; selection means; and radiation control means. The pattern storage means stores at least one signal pattern of an infrared signal usable by a control target device. The selection means selects at least one of the at least one signal pattern stored by the pattern storage means, using the input received by the input device. The radiation control means causes the infrared radiation means to output an infrared signal of the signal pattern selected by the selection means.

  • Publication number: 20070080831
Abstract: A plurality of positional information transmitters 100, each of which transmits positional information to which a plurality of unit spaces are each uniquely assigned, are disposed on a ceiling. A mobile terminal 10 receives the positional information transmitted from each of the positional information transmitters 100 and changes a terminal-side image in accordance with the received positional information. Furthermore, the mobile terminal 10 transmits to a server 300 current positional information and operation information indicating an instruction inputted by a user. The server 300 changes, in accordance with the current positional information and the operation information received by the mobile terminal 10, a floor image displayed on a plurality of floor displays 200 disposed on a floor. Thus, it becomes possible to provide a highly interesting and novel position detecting system.

  • Publication number: 20060136937
Abstract: A disc transfer section for transferring an optical disc by guide members and a transfer roller is disposed adjacent to an opening of a casing 110. A detector 500 for detecting the optical disc is disposed adjacent to the opening. When unloading the optical disc, the peripheral edge of the optical disc contacts with slide members so that the slide members are slid, thereby sensor switches SW1 to SW4 are appropriately switched on and off. Based on a time difference between the timings of the on/off switchings, the relation between a movement trajectory of the center of the optical disc and an axis of symmetry that is a straight line indicating a transfer direction at the center of the opening is judged in order to control the drive of a transfer motor according to the movement trajectory. The amount of advancement when the unloading is completed is kept constant.

  • Publication number: 20060061678
Abstract: When a shutter button of an operation unit is depressed, a controller controls a lens unit driver such that the focal position of a lens unit is continuously changed. During this operation, an image pickup unit picks up a plurality of different images of a subject successively and then stores them in an image memory. An image processor then calculates contrast values of the picked-up images stored in the image memory and specifies respective focused parts of the images. A display controller then displays the picked-up images on a display such that their specified focused parts are displayed specifically. The controller then stores on a memory card images specified by a user from among the displayed images.

  • Publication number: 20060014537
Abstract: An object of the invention is to reduce the power consumption at the time of an automatic homing operation performed between a base station apparatus and a wireless LAN terminal apparatus. When an automatic homing operation is performed in which a scanning operation is repeated for searching an AP as a connection destination, the wireless LAN terminal apparatus 10 does not leave unchanged a scan pause time period which is a period of time between the previous scanning operation to the next scanning operation, but lengthens it as the number of scanning operations increases. More specifically, each time the scanning operation is repeated predetermined number n times, the wireless LAN terminal apparatus extends the scan pause time period by a given incremental value. The wireless LAN terminal apparatus has an upper limit value of the scan pause time period preliminarily set therein. Thus the scan pause time period is made not to exceed the upper limit value.

  • Patent number: 6963843
Abstract: An exchange value unit identification code is sent to an electronic note generation site from an electronic note user site. When recognizing presence of an exchange value indicated by the exchange value unit identification code, the electronic note generation site generates an electronic note within a limit which does not exceed the exchange value and an authentication code to the electronic note user site. Then, the electronic note user site sends the authentication code to a transaction site. When a commodity is selected at the electronic note user site after each electronic note has been checked valid, the transaction site sends an acknowledgement of acceptance of the selection to the electronic note user site. After erasure of an electronic note at the electronic note user site is confirmed, an electronic note corresponding to changes is sent to the electronic note user site.

  • Publication number: 20050219965
Abstract: A record medium reproduction unit has a main casing, a transfer device, a pair of sensing pins, a sensing device, and a decision device. The transfer device transfers a larger disk record medium and a smaller disk record medium into and out of the main casing. The sensing pins are movable toward and away from each other and each contact an outer edge of the larger disk record medium when the larger disk record medium enters the main casing. The decision device determines which is inserted into the main casing, the larger disk record medium, the smaller disk record medium, or a special form record medium such as a card-shaped CD based on information supplied from the pair of sensing pins.

  • Patent number: 6777657
Abstract: A focusing controller executes an appropriate focus jump even in a multilayer disk having layers of characteristics greatly different from each other. The focusing controller has an optical pickup including an objective lens for converging the light beam and a detector for receiving reflected light from the multilayer recording medium; an error signal generator for generating a focus error signal of the irradiated light beam from a detecting signal of the detector; an actuator for operating the objective lens; and a controller for controlling a focusing position of the light beam by operating the actuator based on the focus error signal. The controller calculates intensities of the reflected lights of two layers based on the detecting signal of the detector, and thus controls the timings of acceleration and deceleration signals of a focus jump between these two layers.
