  • Patent number: 9427815
Abstract: To produce toothed sections on workpieces, a machine tool has a machine bed, a pivoting element with at least two workpiece spindles arranged thereon and a tool positioning unit with a tool head. The spindles can be pivoted relative to the machine bed about a workpiece spindle pivot axis and each spindle has a workpiece receiver that can be rotatably driven about a rotational axis. The tool head can be linearly moved in three directions relative to the spindles, and can be pivoted about a tool head pivot axis. A bearing element extending in the direction of the workpiece spindle pivot axis, has a free end which is pivotable about the workpiece spindle pivot axis, and is rigidly arranged on the pivoting element. A reinforcing element is fastened to the machine bed. The pivoting element is reinforced about the workpiece spindle pivot axis by the reinforcing element.

  • Patent number: 9346112
Abstract: In a method for producing toothed sections on workpieces, a toothed section is firstly produced by means of a first tool in the region of a first end face of a workpiece to be toothed. The produced toothed section is reworked on the peripheral face by means of at least one second tool in the region of the first end face, while the toothed section is further produced. If the toothed section is also produced in the region of the second end face by means of the first tool, the reworking in the region of the first end face is already completed, so the toothed section can also be reworked in the region of the second end face. Short cycle times are thereby achieved with a low machine-related outlay.

  • Patent number: 6439047
Abstract: A method and an arrangement for testing valve disks of ceramic charge cycle valves for internal-combustion engines is provided. Two stressing rollers are pressed against a radially outer section of a valve seat side of the valve and a third stressing roller is provided against the other side of the valve intermediate the other two stressing rollers.

  • Patent number: 6200358
Abstract: The present invention relates to an additive for a fuel for the neutralization of SO2 and/or SO3 in the exhaust gases of internal combustion engines operated with the fuel, and a method for the neutralization of SO2 and/or SO3 in the exhaust gases of internal combustion engines. According to the invention, the additive contains one or more metal compounds soluble in the fuel. In the combustion of the fuel these compounds form stable sulfates which are present in solid particles in the exhaust gas. The method of the invention is characterized in that one or more of these additives are added to the fuel and the combustion of the fuel takes place in an oxidizing atmosphere.
