  • Publication number: 20220385120
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a media gap motor for a turbocharger. The proposed media gap motor contains a rotor and a stator, wherein the stator comprises multiple fins which extend from an inner portion radially towards the rotor in a flow chamber formed between the stator and the rotor. The fins do not extend by means of their inner portions as far as the rotor, and therefore a gap is formed between an inner end of the fins and the rotor, wherein in internal diameter of the fins is at least 1.2 times and at most 3 times an external diameter of the rotor.

  • Patent number: 8371121
Abstract: A turbocharger includes a turbine wheel, a compressor wheel connected thereto, an electric motor situated on the side of the compressor wheel which is distant to the turbine wheel, and a rotor connected to the compressor wheel in a rotationally fixed manner and designed in a freely projecting manner. A drive system for motor vehicles includes a turbocharger. The turbocharger is characterized by a very spontaneous response behavior, as well as the possibility for energy recovery.

  • Publication number: 20110076167
Abstract: An electric motor conveys media and includes a stator, a rotor with a rotor magnet, and a media throughput opening between the stator and rotor. An operationally reliable delivery of media at low cost and with low maintenance is achieved with the electric motor.

  • Publication number: 20110076166
Abstract: A turbocharger includes a compressor arrangement for compressing fresh air for internal combustion engines, containing a compressor wheel as well as an electric motor with a rotor and stator. A rotor magnet of the rotor is designed such that it is partially or completely integrated into the compressor wheel, and the smallest diameter of the stator is 1.5- to 8-times the size of the largest outer diameter of the rotor. The turbocharger has a very spontaneous response behaviour in the transient range, as well as the possibility of an exact real-time regulation of the mass flow. It furthermore renders possible the energy recovery and this contributes to increasing the total efficiency.

  • Patent number: 6489377
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing thermotropic casting resin systems that comprise at least one matrix polymer including at least one thermotropic monomer compound which cannot be mixed with the matrix polymer, whereby the matrix polymer an the thermotropic monomer compound are selected in such a way that their refraction indices are almost the same in a temperatrue range that is below the temperature required for structural change and that reaches the temperature of structural change of the thermotropic monomer compound, the casting resin system being translucent or transparent in this termperature range. After dissolving the monomer thermotropic compund in a matrix solution containing a photohardening oligomer, reactive diluents and photoinitiators and a liquid, photohardenable system is obtained, photoradiation with exclusion of oxygen is carried out for hardening.
