  • Patent number: 10982489
Abstract: A method for capturing a tensile force exerted during the pulling of a pipe or line during installation, includes capturing a strain on the pipe or line via one or more sensors arranged on the pipe or line. Multiple strain sensors may be arranged such that they are offset at various angles across the circumference of the element being installed. One or more sensors may be mounted to a towing head for pulling the pipe or the line during installation.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 26, 2016
Date of Patent: April 20, 2021
Assignee: TRACTO-TECHNIK GmbH & Co. KG
    Inventor: Holger Hesse

  • Publication number: 20140345290
Abstract: A method for stabilising a network frequency with a gas turbine that can be operated using syngas and an additional fuel is provided. The mass-flow of the additional fuel, supplied to operate the gas turbine, can be increased more quickly than that of the syngas and, in order to stabilise a network frequency, a ratio of the mass-flow of syngas to that of the additional fuel, for operating said gas turbine, is modified by the mass-flow of said additional fuel being modified while the mass-flow of the syngas remains the same.

  • Publication number: 20140060066
Abstract: A method is provided for operating a gas turbine in the event of load shedding and/or rapid shutdown. The method includes operating the gas turbine by the combustion of fuel in a combustion chamber of the gas turbine with the addition of combustion air via an air passage, and driving a load. Upon or directly after the load shedding or rapid shutdown, an additional gas volume is supplied to the combustion chamber via the air passage in order to slow the drop in pressure level in the combustion chamber.

  • Patent number: 6608239
Abstract: Described are recombinant DNA molecules comprising a nucleic acid molecule encoding a protein having serine acetyltransferase (SAT) activity and optionally a nucleic acid molecule encoding a protein having cysteine-&ggr;-synthase (C&ggr;S) activity; wherein said nucleic acid molecule(s) are operably linked to regulatory elements allowing the expression of the nucleic acid molecule(s) in plant cells. Also provided are vectors comprising said recombinant DNA molecules as well as plant cells, plant tissues and plants transformed therewith. In addition, the use of the aforementioned recombinant DNA molecules and vectors in plant cell and tissue culture, plant breeding and/or agriculture is described as well as the use of the aforementioned plants, plant tissue and plant cells for the production of food, feed and additives therefor.

  • Patent number: 6248936
Abstract: The present invention relates to a new regulon which in storage roots of the sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) constitutively expresses the gene which is under its control, such that a transition from anaerobic to aerobic conditions, a transition from normal temperature (appr. 22° C.) to cold temperature (appr. 4° C.) and changing sugar concentrations do not alter the transcription activity of the regulon in the storage root tissue.

  • Patent number: 5866790
Abstract: DNA sequences and plasmids are described, that by integration in a plant genome of sugar beet change the sucrose concentration. In addition, transgenic plants that, by introduction of the DNA sequences of the invention, have altered sugar concentrations, are described.
