  • Patent number: 8186986
Abstract: A device for drawing melt-spun filaments for forming a spunbonded fabric includes at least one guide member. The filaments are guided through a slot-shaped nozzle, onto which compressed air is applied, and which conveys the filaments through the drawing nozzle. Guide members are provided on both sides of the slot on the base of the slot-shaped outlet, which cause a uniform structure of the fabric due to their shaping. This is achieved when a guide member has a plurality of notches parallel to the conveying direction, and the opposite guide member has a plurality of bores, which passively connect the space between the guide member with the environment.

  • Patent number: 8178015
Abstract: A process and a device involves melt-spinning and cooling synthetic filaments. Therein, a plurality of filaments is extruded from a polymer melt and, after the extrusion, is guided into a cooling shaft for cooling. Within the cooling shaft cool air is blown, via a blower wall, into the cooling shaft, where, for cooling, the filaments are guided along the blower wall and at a distance from it. In order to obtain cooling adapted to the particular filament titer, the blowing onto the filaments can be set by selecting one of several operating positions, where to change the operating position of the blower wall it is moved in the direction towards the filaments or in the direction away from the filaments.

  • Publication number: 20080197522
Abstract: A device and method for producing a spun-bonded non-woven. A molten polymer supplied to a spinning beam from a melt source is extruded through a multiplicity of linearly arranged spinneret bores into filaments arranged in the form of a curtain. A tensile force is exerted on the filaments by means of a draw-off nozzle. The filaments are thereupon deposited on to a conveyer belt where they form a spun-bonded non-woven. At the draw-off nozzle, a monitoring means is provided which detects a characteristic quantity characteristic of the process. One or more structure-borne sound sensors are preferably used as monitoring means. The measurement result of the monitoring means, after a desired value comparison, is supplied to a signal means or is used for regulating the process.
