  • Patent number: 6834705
Abstract: A window roller blind (5) or a partition net is provided that is extendable and retractable with the aid of actuating elements (14, 15) that swing about axes that extends at a right angle to a winding shaft (18) on which material (8) is wound up. The actuating elements (14, 15) are stiff relative to a bending plane that extends at a right angle to the planes defined by the spread-out roller blind strip (8) or the partition net. Each of the actuating elements (14, 15) includes an angular gear (22, 23) with an output shaft that carries and rotates with the respective actuating element (14, 15). The output shaft (32, 34) of the respective angular gear (22, 23) forms at the same time the bearing axis of the actuating element (14, 15). The two angular gears (22, 23) are either driven by separate motors (29, 33), or their input shafts are mechanically coupled one with the other and are jointly driven by a single electric motor (29).

  • Patent number: 6715525
Abstract: A separation device for a motor vehicle, with a flexible flat shaped article, which is held on a winding shaft located in a box housing between a rolled-in rest position and a pulled-out protective position which is rigidly connected to the vehicle with holding devices, in a manner so it can be rolled in and rolled out, where a return spring arrangement applies pressure in the roll-in direction onto the winding shaft. According to the invention, the return spring arrangement is formed by a series or parallel connection of a stronger wound spring and a weaker convenience spring, where the switching is designed in such a manner that, between the rolled-up rest position and a first pull-out position, the stronger roll-up force is applied, and, from the first pull-out position on, for a limited time, a smaller roll-up force is applied, for the transfer into the suspended protective position, and in that the wound spring is associated with a damping element.

  • Patent number: 6595567
Abstract: A separating device (13) includes a separating net or a separating grid (14) of a flexible material. On two edges (16, 17) of the separating net (14) that run parallel to one another, in each case a stiffening strut (19, 21) is provided. One of the two stiffening struts (19) serves for the anchoring of the separating device underneath the vehicle roof while the other stiffening strut (21) is anchored at a distance from the roof lining, for example on the (rear) seat back or on the floor of the load compartment. The two stiffening struts (19, 21) contain in each case a hinge (30). In this manner the separating device (13) can be folded up along its width and thereupon rolled-up. A packing device (96, 97) in the form of a pocket provided on the separating device (13) serves for securing of the folded separating device (13) in the packed position.

  • Patent number: 6486631
Abstract: A drive system for a covering device, which can be rolled up or folded, for motor vehicles is equipped with a control device. The control device has a current sensor for detecting the current applied to an electric motor of the drive system in the course of moving the covering device. The control system measures a current parameter at the start of the movement of the covering device and switches off the current to the motor as soon as switch-off criteria derived from the current values measured at the start of the movement have been reached.

  • Publication number: 20020163220
Abstract: The invention relates to a safety net device with a housing, in which a winding shaft is rotationally mounted. The winding shaft is pretensioned by means of a spring motor in the direction of winding of a safety net which is fixed to the winding shaft. The other edge of the safety net is connected to a pull bar which is suspended in the recesses in the car body. In order to minimize the effort required by the user to suspend said device, a holding device absorbs at least part of the pull-back force when the safety net is would back into the housing immediately after the safety net has been pulled out of the housing to enable the pull bar to be suspended in the recesses. The holding device can be released at will in order to roll up the safety net back into the housing.

  • Patent number: 6443489
Abstract: In a retaining net arrangement the lower edge (16) of the retaining net (13) is fixed in the vehicle with two anchoring elements (24). To the anchoring elements (24) there belong two non-extensible tension elements which are held in the suspended state under a corresponding pre-stressing state by pre-stressing elements. An automatically acting clamping device leads both the pre-stressing forces for the tensioning of the retaining net into the car body (7) and also the increased forces which arise when an object is flung against the retaining net (13).

  • Patent number: 6427751
Abstract: An automobile rear window shade 9 having a windup roller (15) rotatably seated in a housing (13) in the automobile. The windup roller (15) is pre-stressed in the wind-up direction of the window shade web (17) by a spring (16). Two pivot levers (19, 21), which are pivotably seated on the housing (13), are provided for unrolling the window shade web (17). Couplings (31) between the pivot levers (19, 21) and a gear motor (29) are provided for operating the pivot levers (19, 21). The couplings (31) are flexible over sections of their length, and to prevent kinking of the flexible sections kink-protection structures 44 are provided.

  • Patent number: 6422291
Abstract: A roll-up window blind (5) for automobile rear windows panes (4) has two actuating levers (9, 11) with which the pullrod (13) is moved in the direction of reeling-out or reeling-in of the blind material (12). The levers (9, 11) are borne in such manner that, in the reeled-out state, the pullrod (13) is pressed with a tension force against the rear window pane (4). In order to avoid any damage to the heating wires, the pullrod (13) is provided on its ends with guide elements (41), which are mounted movably on the pullrod (13). With the blind (5) reeled out, they project over the outer contour of the pullrod (13) and, as they themselves come to lie on the rear window pane (4), they hold the pullrod (13) at a distance from the rear window pane (4). On reeling-in they are retracted behind the outer contours of the pullrod (13), so that they can be retracted into the slot (7) from which the blind material emerges, and, namely, without recesses for the guide elements being necessary on the slot edges (22).

  • Patent number: 6416103
Abstract: A protective device for the interior of a motor vehicle has a protective structure which has a planar shape in a protective position and which is seated for movement by a drive mechanism between at least two positions. The protective structure is connected with at least one guide element that can be entrained by at least one coupling member with transfer structure to the drive mechanism. The at least one coupling member is provided with at least one picking-up element that acts in transverse direction to the direction of movement of the coupling member and that entrains, releases or picks up the guide element with limited entraining force during movement of the coupling member. The protective device is usable for cargo area coverings, cargo area dividers and sun-protection roller blinds.
