    Abstract: The invention concerns a hinge system for cowl doors in nacelles for aircraft engines. The invention allows the cowl door to be opened without invasion of the interior of the nacelle. Invasion requires that some interior space of the nacelle be kept free of equipment. The invention eliminates this requirement, allowing otherwise idle space to be utilized.
