  • Patent number: 8768933
Abstract: The subject application is directed to a system and method for type-ahead address lookup employing historically weighted address placement. A prompt is generated on a display for commencement of a new search operation and search data of text entries is received via a user interface. Entries are stored in an associated database, each entry having at least one searchable text field. At least a first character of a new search received via the user interface is tested against the entries relative to the searchable field. A display is generated corresponding to a subset of the entries based upon a testing output. Selection data is received corresponding to a selected entry from the displayed subset and weighting data is generated corresponding to received selection data. Displayed entries are ordered corresponding to the subset of database entries upon subsequent re-entry of the at least a first character during a subsequent search operation.

  • Publication number: 20100302604
Abstract: The subject application is directed to a system and method setting data extraction fields for scanner input. Electronic document image data is generated from a tangible document that has an associated predefined layout, and a corresponding image is generated on an associated display. A zone area is generated as a sub-portion disposed with the displayed image and positioning data is received that corresponds to a user-selected location of a zone area relative to the electronic document image. User-selected tag data associated with each zone area is received and stored associatively with positioning data in accordance with a document identifier corresponding to the tangible document in a data storage. Image data of tangible documents is generated, with each tangible document having the predefined layout. Character data is extracted from image data of each document according to positioning data and stored associatively with tag data in an associated database.

  • Publication number: 20100042946
Abstract: The subject application is directed to a system and method for web-based soft keyboard character entry. Web connection sessions with each of a plurality of thin clients is established, wherein each thin client is disposed one of a corresponding plurality of associated workstations via network connection. Keyboard layout data corresponding to each of a plurality of properties of soft keyboard layout is stored in an associated storage. Region data corresponding to a region associated therewith is received from each thin client as well as display size data corresponding to a display size associated therewith. Target-specific keyboard layout data is received for each of the plurality of thin clients in accordance with the keyboard layout data and, region data and display size data associated with each thin client and communicated to each thin client in accordance with the calculation corresponding thereto so as generate a soft keyboard layout thereon.
