  • Patent number: 7320721
Abstract: In a fan filter unit for filtering and continuously supplying clean air into a clean room, the fan filter unit includes a chemical filter for removing chemical contaminants contained in the air, a fan for sucking and blowing out the air, and a particle filter for removing particles such as dusts and moisture contained in the air. A filter medium of the chemical filter has a circular tube shape and is disposed between an inner circular tube and an outer circular tube. A cover is detachably combined with top portions of the inner and the outer circular tubes, and prevents air flow through the top portions of the inner and outer circular tubes. The air is sucked only through the outer circular tube, the chemical filter and the inner circular tube by a suction force of the fan. Accordingly, velocity distribution of the air passing through the chemical filter may be improved and lifetime of the chemical filter may be increased.

  • Patent number: 6146449
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a gas mask canister using a HEPA filter media having plastic separating plates inserted into between HEPA filter media at certain intervals. The HEPA filter, impregnated activated carbon, and a pre-filter are accommodated within a cylinder. The cylinder is inserted into a canister having an upper portion and a lower portion detachably coupled together. The impregnated activated carbon, the plastic separating plates and the casing of the canister can be reused, and the rest of elements are burned. A vinyl coating sheet is peeled off from the canister after each use. An indexing tab for recording the number of times of peeling is attached on each of vinyl coated sheets, so that the number of uses can be known.

  • Patent number: 5792720
Abstract: A method and an apparatus using a fluidized bed type adsorbing tower for manufacturing a TEDA-impregnated active carbon which is used for removing toxic materials from a fluid. A base active carbon is dried to remove the water component, and the dried active carbon is filled into the fluidizing type adsorbing tower and to above a sieve plate. A TEDA reagent is injected into a TEDA vapor generating vessel. A heated air is supplied into the TEDA vapor generating vessel so as to generate a TEDA vapor mixed with the heated air. The heated air mixed with the TEDA vapor is supplied into the lower portion of the fluidized bed type adsorbing tower so as to make the base active carbon fluidized. Thus the TEDA vapor is impregnated into the active carbon within the fluidized carbon bed.

  • Patent number: 5719093
Abstract: A method and an apparatus are disclosed for desorbing TEDA by utilizing a fluidized bed so as to reuse a used impregnated active carbon for the purpose of removing toxic materials from a fluid. The impregnated active carbon is injected into a fluidized bed at a high temperature to carry out a desorbing process, in such a manner that TEDA and CH.sub.3 l are desorbed from the impregnated active carbon at a high temperature by utilizing the high volatility of TEDA and CH.sub.3 l. If a heated air is injected through an air inlet into the desorbing tower, the high temperature air and the used impregnated active carbon are met in a fluidized state, with the result that the active carbon with TEDA and CH.sub.3 l desorbed is discharged.
