  • Patent number: 5760402
Abstract: A dual-head gamma camera imaging system comprises a master ring gear and a slave ring rotatable about a longitudinal axis. The master ring gear is rotatably supported by a gantry. The slave ring is rotatably supported by the master ring gear and concentric with the master ring gear, such that the master ring gear and the slave ring can be rotated independently about s longitudinal axis. A first detector is supported by a first cantilever support member mounted to the master ring gear. A second detector head is supported by a second cantilever support member mounted to the slave ring. The angular displacement between the detector heads can be varied by providing relative rotation between the master ring gear and the slave ring. The rotation can be accomplished by using the weight of one of the detector heads to hold that detector head stationary while rotating the other detector head using a motor.

  • Patent number: 4733519
Abstract: A method and system are provided for forming floppy disk envelopes. Envelope blanks are manipulated while attached to a continuous web of envelope material to facilitate handling and alignment of the blanks. Initially, fold lines are impressed into the envelope blanks to define the precise dimensions of the envelope. Envelope flaps are then partially folded to define a receptacle into which the disk media is then inserted. The remaining flaps are then folded and sealed, and lastly the folded envelope is detached from the continuous web. A particular apparatus for impressing the envelope blanks includes a male die, female die cavity, and mechanism for reciprocating the dies. The preferred score profile includes a pair of radii joined by a hinge section.

Abstract: A method and system are provided for folding floppy disk envelopes. Envelope blanks are manipulated while attached to a continuous web of envelope material to facilitate handling and alignment of the blanks. Initially, fold lines are prescored into the envelope blanks to define the precise dimensions of the envelope. Envelope flaps are then partially folded to define a receptacle into which the disk media is then inserted. The remaining flaps are then folded and sealed, and lastly the folded envelope is detached from the continuous web.

  • Patent number: 4106684
Abstract: A dispensing device for sequentially dispensing sheet material such as paper toweling from a primary roll and a reserve roll, the primary roll initially being rotatably mounted at a first location and adapted to be displaced therefrom to a second location. Sheet material feed means is provided for dispensing the sheet material from the device. Sensing means is provided for sensing displacement of the primary roll from the first location and transfer means is employed in operative association with the sensing means and responsive to the sensing of the displacement of the primary roll from the first location to place sheet material from the reserve roll into operative engagement with the sheet material feed means.

  • Patent number: 3972488
Abstract: An expandable chuck for rotatably supporting a longitudinal roll, such as a tissue supply roll for a folding machine, having a hollow cylindrical core. Pneumatically inflatable tube members are mounted on spaced wheel members, which are in turn mounted on a cylindrical sleeve rotatably mounted on a support shaft. The tube members are pneumatically interconnected and the chuck is fully controllable from either end for insertion in or removal from the core of a roll by valve and vent means adjacent each end of the chuck.
