  • Patent number: 5582394
Abstract: An elastic mount, particularly for supporting drive assemblies in motor vehicles, includes a housing being open toward an engine and secured to a rigid abutment. A support arm protrudes laterally from the drive assembly and is supported on the rigid abutment by elastomer bodies. The support arm has an approximately cross-shaped cross section and laterally obliquely projecting ribs. Elongated rubber bodies are cut from a continuous extrudate and having a prismatic cross section. The rubber bodies are inserted between the ribs for vertical and horizontal support and are enclosed by the housing. A method for producing elastic rubber bodies for an elastic mount for supporting drive assemblies, includes extruding rubber bodies with a predetermined cross section as continuous extruded profiles made of an elastomer, vulcanizing the rubber bodies, and then dividing the rubber bodies into a predetermined length of individual rubber bodies.

  • Patent number: 5489087
Abstract: A radial bush bearing, in particular for motor vehicles, includes a cylindrical outer sleeve, a central bush core disposed in and spaced from the outer sleeve defining an annular gap therebetween, at least one elastomer body being fixed in and completely circumferentially filling the annular gap, and hollow conduits with given cross sections penetrating at least a portion of the at least one elastomer body. The hollow conduits have Venturi-like constrictions and also have enlargements with the given cross sections following the constrictions.

  • Patent number: 4852864
Abstract: A hydraulic-damping two-chamber engine mount includes a working chamber facing toward an engine, a compensating chamber, and an intermediate plate separating the chambers from each other and having an overflow conduit extending helically therein through which the chambers communicate hydraulically with one another. The intermediate plate has two sides and an outer periphery merging into a cylindrical ring extending beyond both of the sides. The ring has an outer surface with two axially superposed conduits formed therein having ends and extending over at least a portion of the outer periphery of the intermediate plate. The intermediate plate has a longitudinal axis and has a conduit portion formed therein extending obliquely relative to the longitudinal axis through which one end of each of the superposed conduits communicate with each other. An outer conduit wall in the form of a cylindrical mount housing has an inner wall surface covering the superposed conduits.

  • Patent number: 4667942
Abstract: A pretensionable and hydraulically damped mounting element with an outer mounting sleeve, an inner part, which is held by an elastomeric body in the interior of the outer mounting sleeve, the elastomeric body above and below the inner part being formed with chambers serving as a mechanical spring and being filled with hydraulic fluid and connected to one another via a channel, and end caps located at respective end faces of the mounting element and being formed of elastic, deformable elastomeric material, the elastomeric body extending from the inner part substantially radially outwardly towards opposite sides of the outer mounting sleeve, the elastomeric body and at least one of the end caps defining the channel therebetween, the channel having a variable cross section includes means defining axially extending additional chambers arranged at both sides of the inner part of the elastomer body, the additional chambers communicating with the channel.
