  • Patent number: 5465518
Abstract: A sporting or hunting arm comprising a barrel assembly, a casing containing the triggering mechanism, a safety means for changing the arm from a safe to a ready-to-fire position, and a supplementary safety device comprising a time-lag relay started by a sensor when the safety lever is changed into the ready-to-fire position and emitting a signal after lapse of a preadjusted time interval, the signal being either an audible signal emitted by a buzzer or a visible signal emitted by a diode, and/or causing an actuator to return the safety means into the safe position. The safety means can be a cocking slide held in cocked position by a holding lever, wherein the actuator acts on the holding lever or on a shock-safety means. Warning means responding to the state of loading of the battery and an adjusting device accessible from outside can be provided.

  • Patent number: 5446986
Abstract: In a multiple-barrel firearm with removable lock housing, the two axially moveable strikers are arranged in superposed relationship, preferably being angular and provided with grooves or edges; this arrangement permits, even in case of only one solid sidewall, a favorable guidance of the strikers and contributes considerably toward making the lock housing very narrow. Since, in this firearm, the movement of a cocking bar just as the movement of firing pins takes place approximately in parallel to the movement of the strikers, the advantage is obtained in addition to a relatively simple structure that the energy for cocking coil springs guided by means of guide pins can be at a minimum as well. The guide pins connected with the strikers also take over safety functions.

  • Patent number: 5111607
Abstract: The fixation of the barrel housing to the breech housing in a break-open gun is controlled by a top lever breechblock, the bottom of which carries, in a groove, countersunk, a connecting member with an eccentric tenon in a displaceable fashion, the tenon being insertable in one of two bores in a control part, and the control part driving the breechblock wedge or wedges, wherein at least one spring between the control part and the breechblock wedge absorbs, when the control wedge is not worn, a distance increment so that the breechblock lever during locking can always go back into a central position. The gun can readily be refitted from a right-hand shooter to a left-hand shooter: the connecting member is rotated by 180.degree. and inserted in the opposite bore, the spring stop is likewise turned, and the breech spring is exchanged with the pressure bolt and the stop bolt.

  • Patent number: 5109621
Abstract: The reliability of a cartridge ejection device can be improved by the interposition of a readily deactivatable control flap, arranged on the outside of a monobloc unit, between a control bolt and a cartridge ejector of a break-open gun-housing of at least one barrel. The arrangement has the advantage wherein when no shot has been fired, the ejector will move into the extended position gradually during tilting of the barrel. When a shot has been fired, the ejector will remained tensioned until the barrel has been entirely tilted. Another advantageous feature is obtained by constructing the cartridge ejector of two parts coupled by way of a spring, namely a cartridge extractor and an extractor element, because thereby stress peaks can be further reduced and the cartridge extractor can already be entirely in the retracted position even before the barrel is completely closed.

  • Patent number: 5063699
Abstract: A firing pin exhibiting a notch or annular groove laterally engaged by a stud whereby the axial path of the firing pin is limited, can be simply and quickly disassembled and assembled, if the stud can be removed and inserted without complications. It is furthermore advantageous to omit retractor springs at the firing pins and to effect, instead, the retraction of the firing pins during loading and unloading (breaking open) of the barrel or barrels by means of a retractor plate in conjunction with the breechblock lever.
